Unveiling of street sign in honor of Bill Finger, co-creator of Batman, by Bill's stepson Steve Simmons and granddaughter Athena Finger. This is the first memorial to a superhero creator in New York, the Superhero Capital of the World.
See it for yourself at the northeast corner of Grand Concourse/East 192nd Street, along the southern end of Poe Park.

Marc, I am a big Batman/comics fan and I read and loved your book! I'm so glad that someone stood up for Bill Finger and is giving him the credit he deserves. I remember reading the obit for Finger that appeared in a ("100 Page Spectacular") Batman or Detective Comics issue probably in 1974 or early '75. It opened with the words "Last January, Batman lost a father." One of Bill's last stories gave Batman a chance to team with and pay homage to The Shadow! I always maintain reading comics helped make me a writer. So, thanks Bill. And thanks, Marc!
