What is faster - ball or boy? I had the idea for this film while at college in 1993. I storyboarded it, intending to make it on campus with myself as the main (only) character. Alas, that never happened. In 2021, I finally shot it, but with someone else in the lead...my son. Special thanks to Mike Klein. #vineyardvines #vans #penn

I am astounded DC is ok with Bob Kane, a narcissist, a wannabe, a fake and a selfish thief representing the backbone of who they are. Batman represents justice, while Kane is famous for deceit, theft, forgery, even murder, etc. DC supports super-villains, rather than true heroes, how sad and twisted...

Well, when it comes down to it, Bob Kane was the one who signed the contract and established himself as the creator of Batman. Although, with that being said, I don't agree with him cheating Bill out of the money and recognition he was rightfully owed.

Loved seeing a young Ally Sheedy, she's got such a smart and confident look, really cool I had no idea she wrote a book. On another note though, is it just me or are the comments the host and men make borderline creepy about the young girls? I felt myself cringe multiple times. "I just want to look at her" - like, wtf?

The narrator in Moby Dick said, "Call me Ishmael." An interesting choice of words. Considering what the novel was based on, I don't think the narrator gave us his real name. Moby Dick was inspired by the real life sinking of the whaling ship Essex. Melville learned of the disaster from the accounts by Owen Chase and cabin boy Thomas Nickerson who admitted to murdering a fellow survivor to prevent the rest from starving. They were never criminally charged for this crime as, according to them the homicide was consensual. One of the survivors suggested that this should be done, and the others agreed. They drew lots first to see who out die, then to see who would do the killing. However both became social pariahs by many who read the account. This would be a reason for the narrator to give a false name. Also, Ishmael has some Biblical and culturally symbolism. In any case it's a good story. It is written in a style that is not commonly used these days, but it was packed with information that would have been common knowledge in the 1850's, but Melville knew even then that whaling would soon become a thing of the past, and this common knowledge may parish with that art of whaling. A wise man, Melville.

3:32 - 3:40.Quite disgusting and pervy when an old man comments on the beauty of young girls on TV... I understand that he thinks he's joking, but it's tasteless and he can't know if he makes the girls uncomfortable. It's sexualizing children. That could not have been broadcasted in my country without a public uproar - not back then and not now. And then they would have removed the dude from the show to take responsibility
