How to do LAUNCH CONTROL on your F30 series BMW

In this video, I show you how to do launch control in your BMW F30 series.
In this case, I do it in a 2018 BMW 440i Convertible.
You need the "Sport Automatic" transmission for this to work. If you don't have it but the ordinary automatic instead, you can get it tuned, it's just software.

This BMW 440i has an in-line 3.0L six-cylinder engine with normally 326 horsepower (ps), in this, I have tuned it to 404 horsepower (ps).

In my experience people feather the brake/throttle and it just spins or doesn’t launch. Gotta stand on the brake and jam the throttle through kickdown. When you see the revs climb, wait another second or 2 until they go up another 500 rpm. You have to hold it in launch control for 1-3 seconds after you get the flag so it builds boost. In xdrive cars at least.

Could be because the tires on my 440i just aren’t that sticky. It has problems getting the power down without doing a burnout lol 😂

There‘s a point where you have to press harder to make it reach full throttle. You feel a click when that happens. Most call it „kickdown“

Release brake

10km is for your transmition oil to get hot enought… it needs more time, there is no combustion in there
