I enjoy a bit of turbulence, it adds a bit of spice to an otherwise boring flight.

Turbulence is nothing these days. Pilots are now able to effectively evade the worst of it. It was significantly worse in the past. The first time I flew in an airplane was in 1977 for an eighth-grade school trip to Washington, departing from Cleveland. This was on Eastern Airlines. They served scrambled eggs for breakfast. Everyone was served and time passed to allow everyone to finish eating. Then perfectly on cue, the plane hit some significant turbulence and the vomit began to spew forth. As the foul smell of vomit filled the plane, that triggered a second round of vomiting. I was sitting in a middle seat, and I remember the vomit squirting between the seats onto the backs of the seats in front of me. The stewardesses (it was the 70's) were quietly cursing the pilots who had failed to warn them. It was memorable to say the least, more so than the rest of the trip. I was one of the very few who didn't vomit.

I was on a flight were the landing was pretty hairy. The plane kept tilting and rocking as we were getting super close to the ground. The pilot landed and to my surprise the entire plane started cheering. Never been afraid of turbulence or of flying fortunately.

I used to be scared by turbulence until I saw a report of a plane full of people that got injured by flying to the ceiling and being thrown around like ragdolls... I figure if that didn't crash the plane I have nothing to worry about with what I've experienced.

I love turbulences, because they are like a rollercoaster without any extra cost. Flights are so boring. So that rollercoaster is entertaining.
