They kicked ass on the street too! lol My ex and I had one back in the late 70's. Can't remember if it was a 68 or 69. Even I liked to put the pedal down. I'd be at a stop light, pull it into a low gear (automatic) and as soon as the light changed.....it was............EAT MY DUST! lol
nice car! I have a very similar car here in the UK. S-code GT390 just like that one, in about the same condition, albeit in acapulco blue with the white C-stripe and running the original 390 FE / C6 / 3.25 trac-loc, could you please tell me what your car sold for? My insurance company don't have an accurate value, so I'm trying to get a feel of what these cars are actually worth. many thanks. for the record, I'd buy that car in a heartbeat if I didn't have one already! lol! cheers, Nick, UK.
This was my favorite car! Purchased in 1970 for $1,800, totalled it in 1971. Great car.
Probably the coolest dashboard/gauge pkg. of all the muscle cars . . . and boy, did these Torinos kick ass in NASCAR!

It's just a really cool old car. Piece of history. Fun to drive.
Boy oh boy, do I wish I was a millionaire, so I could fly into Detroit, and have one of these guy's sell me the car of my dreams.
I wish i was a millionaire so i could just take the whole inventory home with me!!! xD
Sonny, I feel the same. I am a dyed in the wool FORD man in all respects.
my brother bought one just like that in about 74 ,green, hood scoop,390 ,4 speed...never touched,900.00...from the ford dealership
My Dad's mother had 1 like this 1, But her's had the 5.8 351 Windsor 4 barrel with a AM/8 Track Tape player in it.
Torino is my favorite of the muscle cars, they just didn't make enough 4 speeds
I thought it was going to be a Cobra when I saw the blacked out grill.
Nice car anyway.

Can some of these cars be driven as a daily ?
Nygel Garcia of course! They were driven daily when they were new weren’t they? Cars are meant to be driven no mater what they are.
