finally someone who really understands daniel unlike other reactors who can only judge him and call him irritating. it was a great fun watching your reaction
Santiago deserved all the brownie points in this episode, period. The way Ben Daniels delivers his lines is absolutely breathtaking. "Who's your maker?" came out so casual, yet it had a sense of suspicion and even some kind of a threat I think. I felt bad for Daniel too. I mean, he didn't have to mock Louis' painful memories like that, it was quite unprofessional, but Louis violating Daniel's mind just because he can...well, it was not the best response, to put it mildly. Lestat's letter is just 💔 I miss him so much this season. Hopefully we'll get more of him in the next episode.
I love all the old-timey vampire stereotypes sprinkled throughout the show. The bat flying out of Lestat's severed throat. The badass cape walk Louis and Lestat took in S1, ep 2. The necessity of coffins, destruction by sunlight/fire, and the weird propensity to be fashionable (except in depressive or extreme circumstances).
Protect my boy Daniel - I can't take his sad face and we're only 2 eps in!! I love his snarky ass and bloodhound mentality, and he doesn't deserve the shade from some quarters because he refuses to swallow Louis and Armand's bs without question! That said, he needs to appreciate that kicking Louis when he's in his Lestat feels is going to get a response, lol! Santiago being devilishly charismatic and terrifying was GREAT, Loumand's origin story being accompanied by an amazing score was adorable (I admit through gritted teeth), Lestat managing to torture me AND his 'murderer' was exquisitely cruel, and Claudia's happy bubble has never weighed on me more since seeing her beautiful smiles! I LOVE THIS SHOW - and I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!
I enjoyed the introduction of The Theatre of the Vampires. It's such an important part of the books. Ben Daniels as Santiago is genius casting! He's killing it! I'm so excited for the next episode. Lestat is probably my favorite character in literature. I can't wait for more Lestat!
Daniel's snark is hilarious to me. I feel like Armand did something to his memories because they had a relationship in the books if I remember correctly. I keep seeing comments that they did (Devil's Minion trope), and it's been a while since I read the books 1-7. Perhaps he glamoured him to make him hate him if he ever saw him again or just forget. Armand and Louis sound like drama queens really messing with Daniel's mind. I am just waiting to hear Lestat's version of the story. Ben Daniels has been doing a good devious job as Santiago. I feel bad for young Claudia. She is being played by these older vampires. Lestat did warn her and Louis about the ancient/ overseas vampires.
You're making me want to read the books even more! 👀 Sometimes I'm not sure because like, it gets weird and I'm enjoying the AMC version too much, and I've heard some people say that the books give more lore but that the AMC adaptation competes *hard* with their entertainment value. I was always going to read 'em bc i write fanfic about the show and having some idea of what's going to happen would be helpful when writing from a future perspective, but you make it sound like a really good time and I trust you. 💜
The way I cried lonely tears when Lestat came in with that blow out looking like Brad Pitt in the original movie and read that letter!!!!!! I know he's toxic but dang it that was beautiful!!! 😂 Im sitting over here single and Louis got 2 falling in love at first freaking sight!!!!!!! Lestat come save him!!! I need a real epic fight for Louis' love!!!!!!!
i'm really amazed for what amc did in this season tbh, after the flop mayfair witches was ... everytime i listen to lestat letter my heart breaks even more *swoon for eternity. (this time i felt he might have written that letter afterwards and that makes me love him even more)
The way you feel about Santiago is how I feel about Armand. I read this book when I was 12 and 20 years later, I have still not yet encountered a book character that I hate as much as I hate him. Santiago was Armand’s henchman
Thank you for seeing Daniel’s side of things when some fans are trying to drag him for “daring” to question these two vampires who obviously aren’t telling the full story, and who he has a long history with. Yeah, Daniel poked the bear, but the bear is meaner and deadlier than he is, and he’s in a fragile state to begin with. It’s like a grown man slapping a child when he is a whole lot bigger and stronger than that child. It’s just low brow and unsporting. I felt really bad they were gaining up on him like that. But at the same time Daniel needs to stop poking the bear before that bear gets tired of it and takes a chunk out of him.
I think for many, it has been irritating watching Daniel have a go at the most delicate moments. Armand just told Daniel to lay off because this was a very sensitive event for Louis and Daniel immediately bulldozed through it until Louis snapped. Daniel has been poking the bear in the eye since he walked in. I do feel bad that Daniel had to find out that Louis' bark is actually worse than his bite. I wonder if this means that Daniel will be able to move beyond being argumentative and allow us to see him open up enough to figure out what happened in his own past.
I already said this on Patreon, but I don't know why I didn't notice upon first watch that when the guy warns Claudia not to go into the dress shop, he imitates a Nazi salute. So, I'm guessing that Madeleine (if that is Madeleine) might've been caught up with the Nazis? It'll be interesting to see. Also, the bit about Daniel feeling more free in Paris to hold Alice's hand REALLY makes me think Alice = Armand.
"Hold on.... MICHAEL?!" I was unprepared. 😅 Not her giving Lestat the brownie point for having slept with Louis & Armand. 🤣 MESSY! 😭 I love how you broke down Daniel's actions going too far too many times: not being a journalist but a combatant; this not being an interview but a debate/argument. So well said.
The brownie points are truly making me laugh 😂 Loved the details you are seeing and pointing out like the painting 😮 that last scene with Daniel also made me wonder how much Louis' power has grown. Another great reaction! ❤
Love your reactions! I really saw E2 and thought: Brianna's gonna have a blast! Lol on hating Santiago but he's also so damn entertaining and Ben Daniels ATE so it's like...we hate him but he still slays. ^_~
When I watched all of these Dubai scenes, I 1st was just loving and fan girling hard, and then I thought oh Brianna is going to love this. Although I hate when Daniel mocks Louis pain and then Louis gets vicious. I love your reactions. Also, I cried so hard at Lestat. The messed up part is I don't know if he wrote that as a " just in case" or after he knew of their plan and wanted this as a twist of the knife to Louis.
this episode had so many epic moments I rewatched it gazillion times and still swooning. the theatre was awesome, the group had so much character, Santiago we hate him we love him he ate that performance! the killing part was done so good too.. so different but still in spirit of books. Armand and Louis romantic scenes and memories were so cute it made you puke lol they are adorable but also you feel this tension beneath... also those flashes of Armand and what ever the fuck he was doing with Danny in the past I screamed!!!!! 👀 Daniel is my boy too I feel like so little people appreciate his grumpy snark! :) and damn tomorrow we get 18th century flashback already ahahafasdalsssssdklgjfdaaaaaaaaa. 😍🥰🥰🥰
Stay away from Estelle....😊 Close friends.....😮 stop it Louis 😂 Lestat always here to break our hearts 💕 Louis shut your mind and heart and love the one you're with....lol Armand's relationship with Lestat is his own fever dream...never happened. 😮 Love your insights 😊
For me! I'm a little pissed at Cludia from episode 1 to episode 2. Her calling Louis a dead weight, and she hope that his happiness doesn't depend on her. This man betrayed the love off his life (Lestat) to run off with her ass, spend 4yrs living like hobos for her to find what she wanted. And now he's all this and that in her eyes.
Lestat was abusing them and holding them hostage, so understandable Claudia wanted to run away and pissed because Louis chose to put her in danger by physically harming her to leave an extremely dangerous vampire who tried to kill her alive, and then also not putting in much effort when they were traveling in Europe to point where she had to handle everything.
Alice was Armand? Alice in her third trimester, Alice in her purple dress? No, I think you're overreaching there. I don't think Daniel just THINKS he has three ex wives and just THINKS he has daughters and Armand somehow pretended to have been pregnant and given birth. I think Daniel's history is his real life, I think the episode Daniel had with Louis and Armand is deeply buried. I'm guessing it was Armand and not Louis who attacked and almost killed him.
finally someone who really understands daniel unlike other reactors who can only judge him and call him irritating. it was a great fun watching your reaction
"Louis is many things, and mentally stable is not one of them." Very true.
Vampires in general are not stable. 😂
“ This isn’t even a love triangle anymore because add Daniel we’re at octagons we’re at polygons. Y’all got a lot going on”
Bars! 🔥🔥🔥
Louis got mad game, he is flirting like there is no tomorrow 😂

Sam's look also reminds me of another brad Pitt film legends of the fall beautiful film ❤
I was *shrieking* for the whole cutesy Loumand moment.
not you never giving santiago his tens 😭
NOT THE JESUS PAINTING! Thank you for pointing it out to me!

@@kev2020 that's sort of the point? He is poking holes at Louis' melodramatic embellished narrative?

I hate santiago (and armand) for what happens to claudia but ben daniels’ performance is so sexy it’s leaving me conflicted lol
Your dog is so cute, it stole my attention too many times throughout this video😂

you're an AMAZING reactor and commentator fr fr
Armand invites Claudia to the Theatre for a reason. He is on to her for the Mardi Gras night melee.
You are a top notch IWTV reactor- I appreciate your energy and your insights!!!! ❤
I love your reactions so much

Did you catch Armand saying Claudia in another body?

Had to subscribe just cause of uour beautiful hair, skin, makeup and comedian genius.
You are so much stronger than me 😂 I couldn't not love Santiago. I know I'm going to regret it. I know I am.
Roget and Associates. Like "The Mystery of Marie Roget" by Edgar Allan Poe.
Girl, where's the reaction to episode three? I need it!
Btw, love your videos!
My bad fam, new episode up now 🥳🥳🥳
@@WhatrudoingBree thank you! I was expecting your video 🤗, this episode was so good
the way Lastat looked
like Louis from the movie with that Brad Pit blowout

You know literally means to physically do something right? He's gonna metaphorically hold back the coven not literally.
