- In this video, I wild camp in the idyllic Chiltern Hills. We set off at about 2pm. It was very, very mild for November. I actually switched to just a t-shirt before it got very chilly at about 6pm (on the hill). Thick fog then shrouded our tents overnight... It just shows how quickly the UK weather can change and how you have to be prepared with the gear you take! Glad I had the Helm Compact 1 tent! I am joined by Ben from Daley Outdoors who was in his new Helm Compact 2.

Great video. Use to live near this spot when I was a kid and spent many a night camping pretty much in the same position as you. Not as many humps back then (80/81)

Hi there. I have only used the Mountain Warehouse Everest down sleeping bag for several years now in winter. It’s relatively cheap but there are question marks over how ethical their down sourcing is. It’s currently on their website at £189.99. They seem to always have it on sale. @@benhikescamps yep. I believe that that's the amount you have to spend for a guaranteed winter bag. Many people waste money on cheaper options, than take the inevitable expensive plunge! 🙄

Hi Paul. I wipe it down then shake it out. In then hang it over a door or on my apartment balcony. Dries fairly quickly. Thanks for watching 👍
