Don't know how many times I've completed this game. Love every aspect of it. Thanks for putting this up so i can have my Dark Chronicle fix without needing to put like a month in to completing it again :D
There are absolutely more sophisticated and interesting console games these days. But I'm the one human who repeatedly watching your Darkcloud2 videos to meet my nostalgia.
I started playing this game today and wowie. Good stuff. Who would've thought that a PS2 game from 02/03 would jam-pack (heh) in so many mechanics, mechanics that put some modern games to shame? Man, do I miss the style and innovation of the early 00s PS2. From the games themselves to the magazines and demo discs. Granted, that magic went away some time after 2004, when the monotony of what the console could do set in... Also this has the Colonel from Metal Gear Solid. Paul Eiding.
Just be sure to get a lot of medals for the name change tickets. You can get the best weapons quickly when you do that. Also, save the game before you change the weapons name, just in case you make a spelling mistake.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Working on a walkthrough for this game took a long time to make, espically with all the grinding and getting the medals for the tickets.
This fast for a full playthrough? O.o Wow, I had weeks in my playthroughs. Than again, after the first, when I finally knew what I was doing, and knew how OP Ridepod weapons are, I did look into crafting some better ridepod parts than what I had access to at first. The album being able to move pictures from one save to another was also something I didn't expect at first, but was a HUGE time saver later on. Heck, I had multiple album save files mostly for that reason. 1-1 for both memory cards. Nova Cannon 4, Samurai Arm 4, those weapons were insane in terms of damage output.
@@Megaspartan23 Yeah my brother and I completed this run, all medals all npcs all weapons - took us a little under 100 hours to do it all. Pretty insane for a PS2 game, content wise.
Big question. I am curious, how did you get the sun and moon armor body for steve?? So soon?? In MT. Gundor(dungeon 5)??? I think some of the photos to invent are more farther in the story mode chapters, and how did you make Legend, the BEST hammer so early too? Did you keep photos from another playthrough? Im super curious.
@@brofistbro I got a name change ticket from the mayor in order to get Legend early. To make the sun and moon armour, you to take a picture of Electric Sesame, the sun and moon.
@Megaspartan23 so you can name yourself legend and it gives you the hammer??? Really?? As well, where can get photo of electric sesame?? That's in chap 5 but like far into completion fo heim rada and future. The gundorada workshop needs like 90% completion as I remember to find the electric sesame location to snap a photo.
@@brofistbro Pro tip: buy a weak weapon and use the name ticket on it. then synthesise the weapon you have been using througout the game and combine it with the new weapon. That way your attributes carry over into the new weapon. I also recommend saving before changing the weapons name, just in case you make a spelling mistake

Technically I made this walkthrough back in 2017.
I just stitched it together into a very long video.

Thank you for doing no-commentary playthroughs. It’s so refreshing to just see the game without someone’s loud fake personality. 🙏🏻

It's more than 30 hours, if you include all the grinding and medal hunting
