WOW best fishing video I've watched for ages. Amazing species you have over there. We are not so lucky over here in England. The colours on those blue gills and cicclid's were awesome. Sometimes having a cast or ten on a little spot like that creek can beat a day fishing on a large water.
I love texas, I was born there I'm in Cali right now aka I live there I love the calls of the blue jays, grackles and cardinals in the background as you fish this video made me feel at home!
I fished in small creeks growing up as a kid in NC. and caught some of the same fish you caught. Rock Bass, Red Breast Sunfish, Red Fin and Speckled Gill were common and a few others that were very rare and I never could identify them. Due to a lot of development in the state most of these species have completely disappeared from a lot of areas.
Awesome seeing all those different fish. I like that you put them back. If you're not going to eat them you should put them back. my favorite one was the one that was kind of iridescent...I don't know what its name was but I think it was the first one you caught. The fins on top were just really iridescent with different colors. A friend of mine has a fish tank that has cichlids in it. Is that the type of cichlid you caught? Is it something that you can put into a fish tank and have is a pet?
I live in the pine barrens of New Jersey and our Sunfish of all speciesbut especially pumpkinseeds get a unique color compared to the sunnys from other areas. I guess because of theway our water is down here? But i thought we had pretty sunnys, but those are beautiful. Its similar though because we have a lot of sandy bottom clear creeks, but the area is very unique. Certain areas are red with sand bottoms, idk if its a proper term but ive heard it called "cedar water". Its crazy though how different Sunny's are from area to area...
Listen I’m not trying to be a hater cause I love your vids I’m subscribed but plz don’t throw the fish in the water there hurt enough when the hook got stuck on them so if there a keeper put in the water gently 1:452:57-3:00 exactly
Theu dont have nerve endings so they dont feel pain when they get hooked. But yes I agree he shouldn't have thrown the fish but think about the people who use blue gill as live bait, flinging it wayyyyy out super hard, it doesnt die.
Hey in have a approximately 4 inch fish caught in a creek it's light yellow with long grey and black mix scale I don't know which specie is it help me Other one I cought in stream is white from belly and dark brown from back with black dots which one is it it's also of 3.5to 4 inch
what does it mean to "get finned" by a catfish? when the fish are out of water they just flop around and smack you with their fins? it hurts? he just seemed more concerned about the catfish than other fish ...
Catfish have spikes at the front of their dorsal and pectoral fins, getting finned probably means getting stung with one of them. The edges of the spikes can be serrated and there are species of catfish that are venemous.
When it's too hot to go fishing in North Texas I watch you for my fishing fix. Your parents must be super proud of the outdoor sportsman you are!
Definitely one of your best vids! Makes you wanna be there to fish alongside you!

Ouch that release from so high looked painful. I’m gradually watching all your video’s, I love your channel
Those are Central Longear Sunfish (Lepomis megalotis), a beautiful relative of the bluegill. We have a different strain in Kansas that is less orange.
Thanks for pointing that out. IDK how he confused them with a bluegill but those were clearly long ears.
'afternoon guys and gals. It's Sunday, May 21st in Colorado Springs, Colorado and I'm wishing I was FISHING.

Great video ❗️
The best thing about creek fishing is you never know what you might catch.
No fishes were bungee jumped in the making of this video

I was fishing, but my line is so weak that it snapped constantly by the beasts in the caney river. 80lb flatheads, huge gar, freakin massive carp.
Awsome place to fish

I'm thinking about getting that small crappie tube this week
Yow you are a beast at fishing
Awesome dude
I normally just call that bait “little squid boi”
My man waits til the end to catch the Hylian Loach. Well done.

Enjoyed your video. Looks like fun. Are there poisonous snakes to worry about where you are fishing?

Echo PS4 Thx but the fish that are thrown probably are damaged but really doesn't matter because they'll die either way
Im probably right around your area I catch ciclid and tilapia in these little creeks all the time.
i have the "texas" siclets down here in new orleans and they taste so good caught 34 in one day with a close friend and ate for two days
Is this Mary's Creek?
That cichlid is a native fish ???
It's the only native cichlid in the United States.
Where were you fishing at?
Im out in cinco ranch, what creek was this?
Well if alligator gar only get 3 feet then I can guarantee a record gar next trip to Fl. Was a great video though and just subbed!
Spotted gar. Alligator gar get a lot bigger, he has an alligator gar video where he gets one almost 8 feet long.
That was awesome
