Doing the Glacier Walk and finding an Ice Cave in January was one of the best part of the trip we took, not to mention it was one of the rare completely sunny days during the Winter! I think our tour guide took more pictures than anyone else, as he was saying it was one of the best days he's seen while being a guide there, and it just happened to be our 1 year wedding anniversary that day, so it worked out perfect!
Iceland with a View - I did too! It was sad to hear that the glaciers are predicted to be gone in the next hundred years due to global warming. You are so blessed to live in such a beautiful country!
OMG! It's my _dream_ to do what you did. Sadly, I'll never be able to do that kind of excursion, because I have a bad knee. My husband and I were in Iceland in August/September for our 30th Anniversary, and we _did_ go to the Katla Ice-caves. That was about the level of what I could handle. I was wearing a knee-brace and using hiking poles to keep the impact on my knee low. Still got a bit of inflamation the next day … but damn, it was worth it. Even for that little mini-version of what you did.
Just awesome! I can't wait to go back to Iceland. What about Kayaking, are there any opportunity to tour on kayaks along the coast? Thank you so much for your video
We are going in early November and I’m planning our trip we plan on doing a 2pm 4 hr tour. We are just concerned about the sun setting so early that most of our tour is in the dark. Any information or insight on what to expect would be greatly appreciated.
Jeanie, I'd love your insight on whether or not you'd endorse ice hiking or natural cave exploration during the first week of September? As you may probably know given the recent turn of events would you as a local say you may lean taking the tour during colder times of the year vrs the height of iceland's summer. I'm contemplating booking a tour but after what's transpired I'm sensing a continued reluctance to make the journey on Reddit. This seems like such a beautiful opportunity, I've been watching your channel since I first went to Iceland back in 2018. I am forever grateful for how you've helped me craft mine and everyone else's Iceland journey! I'd deeply appreciate your opinion, and feedback on this topic. Sincerely, Dan The Dude
Are there Ice Caves we can explore on our own? I understand they can be dangerous, I was just curious if there were smaller ones we could explore while we are out hiking. TIA!

Here is a sad story: We were in Iceland two weeks ago and cancelled our glacier walk tour there because the day before I injured my hand badly at the black sand beach when there was a wind storm and the car door blew open onto my hand. So I couldn't walk very well without the full use of my hand, couldn't use a pick axe, etc. The rest of our trip was fantastic. This kind of made me upset all over again. But thanks anyway for letting me see what I missed : (
@@IcelandwithaView I very much wish to return and see some of the amazing things we missed. And learn how to photograph the Aurora Borealis before we get there!
Thank you, so much! I am coming alone and I want to see the ice caves and glacier hike. What time does the sun come up in February? I was thinking going snowmobiling and seeing ice caves on the same day but I know it's only 4 hours or sunlight. I'm glad that you said bring all or my photography items because I was going to bring a tripod for self photography

Is October cold enough for crystal blue ice cave? I see there is tour available but also people saying it is accessible only November onwards.
I did this same tour! They were the best! 😊
Doing this tour on April 3, 2024 and super excited !
We recently toured the crystal ice cave during our recent trip to Iceland. It was so beautiful!
I just kept saying, "Wow" all day!
HI! Which company did you go with?

Olga Nigay - We went with arctic adventure. Our tour guide Tate was awesome! Plus he had all the supplies needed (helmet, crampons, etc).

May I know which month did you do this tour? Is early October cold enough to see the blue ice cave?

Do you think the glacier walk is worth it in June? Or better in winter? Trying to decide between this or a west man islands trip to see Puffins.

How hard is the hike?
Oooooooooo :)
Troll is not a safe company, some of them don't even have a certificate and no training. Just food for thought ;3
Why? Who is a safe company?
