Hi, Pyzy Flaki Gorące serves a traditional Praga food - pyzy. It is also traditional in other areas of Poznań, but it was „it” food for Bazar Różyckiego, which you passed by on the video. It was a prosperous place in 60/70/80, even 90. Now, it is a small market. And as for Brzeska Street - it can be dangerous ;) it is gonna be revitalized in next 10/15 years. Glad you saw Praga! It is really interesting part of Warsaw but very neglected by the city… greetings from Praga ;)
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Once I had a girlfriend from Praga. After a date I walk her back home through the most spooky streets full of winos, pimps, local hooligans, moonshine traders. And... never felt unsafe or even uncertain. When someone asked me some change I politely explained that I was a poor student with no income but I could give a dime or two. Then I was offered a gulp of cheap wine strait from the bottle. The golden rule about Praga was to not show any sign of disgust and feel as you belong to this place instead. The band is to commemorate local tradition - Warsaw had its own songs sung with Warsaw's accent on the streets and backyards by such a bands. Many of them was from Praga. The ultimate songwriter and singer was Stanisław Grzesiuk, you can find his pieces on YT. My favourite are "Ballada o Czarnej Mańce", "Bal na Gnojnej", "Nie masz cwaniaka nad Warszawiaka" ("Black Mary Ballade", "The Party on the Gnojna Street", "There's no Bigger Smartass as Warsaw Guy". If I can compare him to any English singer it would be George Formby. "Świetnie" means excellent or great which is much better than just good or fine. Have a good time in Wawa (as we call this lil town).
I enjoy your off the beaten track guides to various places (Warsaw, Krakow, Golden Sands, Riga). I am from Warsaw. It is also worth seeing some more, maybe less random sights in Warsaw, though still off track for many tourists. I'd recommend you seeing: Cytadela (Russian Tsar era fortification), the Neons' Museum (the only Neon Museum in Europe that has Cold War neons - co-run and co-funded by a Brit); the beach on the Praga side of the river; the international venders on the left-side embankment; ul. Katowicka and ul. Francuska in Saska Kepa (Praga) - examples of modernistic prewar architecture, plus a bunch of restaurants, and eateries; the garden roof at BUW - the Warsaw University Library; the Arch of the EU placed smack in the middle of nowhere - a field south of Warsaw, plus the most tacky architecture on a hotel nearby. All this just to name some. All the very best!

Those are mostly prewar buildings some abandoned. Warsaw's Praga was not that distroyed during the WW2. Now the city implements the project to restore them, that is way some are or some are not yet refurbished.
that band statue in Praga can play music if you send sms :))) and you can chose song, there is a list of songs on the statue, its mainly old Warsavian or Polish songs before World War
Praga Warsaw people have ther own mentality wich prefer more calmly way of living not as buisness and rush driven people living on western side of Wistula river. Migration of people from other cities and small towns to the capital of Poland mostly for work after 2WW made them a bit defensive and sometimes aggressive. As you can see most of the buildings are old because they were not destroyed in war. Rebuilding and expantion of destroyed Warsaw was prioritised on western side and most of the east city Praga was left behind as expantion of the city was made. You may say Praga is poor district of Warsaw concidering how it looks, mostly by lack of restoration. The most dangerous place in Praga was Dudziarska street is the 90s, today is abandent. But it is good to avoid Brzeska, Stalowa, Konopacka streets after midnight. Also you might find no lack in Mokotów or Śródmieście. Today it is a quite safe city but if you want trouble as a tourist you must look for it with a candle. Overall Warsaw is a big city.
English/American sentences and culture translated to Polish might not work. Poles are less direct and some of these small talks might be misunderstood. The girls "attacked" by "jak się masz?" might think you try to pick her up :-) The answer might be a cloudy face.
Hank Schroeder and Haisenberg in Warsaw... perfect : ]] btw. Praga used to be dangerous, now i think it is not. I have been there many times during the night, going back from the clubs, and I havent experienced any problem for years. Good choice, unknown and uncommon part of the city.

Drinking Russian vodka in Poland? What an offence! :-) We have bryndza in Poland as well. In fact, people from different regions will have a different understanding of this product. Bryndza is most popular in the mountains.
Hello! Thanks for your support… one of my favorite passions is learning and experiencing new cultures and languages. Poland is definitely a great one!👍
Iza Osinska 3 minuty temu "Ile to kosztuje?" means "How much does it cost?- if you just want to know the price of a product. But if you want to ask how much you need to pay for the product/products you are buying, ask "Ile płacę?" meaning "How much do I owe/pay?". "Po ile?" is in street market slang, do not use it everywhere. "Witam, jak się masz?" you can use when speaking to the people you know by first names, it's informal and most people will just ignore it (like the girl in the video), or surprised (like the man a few seconds later). The policemen answered politely because they deal with foreign tourists in the streets on a daily basis so they know the language issues and accept them. "Witam (welcome)" you use when starting a speech to a group. Use "dzień dobry" to everyone or "cześć" to young people. (17.35), its a monument to the Praga street folk band.
You are in Poland, the country that invented vodka with so many good brands to choose from and you want to buy Russian? Plus why support Russia and their barbaric war?
Ur russian sounds like u infiltrate whole soviet union xD serriously, the way u feel and understand it is suprisingly intuitive, considering u r british native speaker,
Hello Justin my friend👋 I took a train from Warsaw to Dorohusk to the border with Ukraine a couple days ago. I tried to cross the border but the polish border guards stopped me
Britan and ireland have been good to Poland thru history fighting Germany, france and germany attacked Poland i think but thier still European brothers i guess.
I watched all the episode. It's interesting to see the city I live by foreigner's eyes. The cable you have see in the floor could be just antenna cable not the electric one. I'm very sad about the signs "J***Ć LGBT" - it is very bad thing about Poland now which I am ashamed of. Anyway, don't be angry, but I find Poland much more beautiful than The UK (I used to live in Nottingham and Bristol). I wish you many good experiences in your travels. Good luck! :)
I don't know if you have been to Turkey before, but you have a taste of Turkish cuisine. I recommend you to visit the city Gaziantep or Hatay and you will find yourself in Heaven.
Chciałem go zabrać w ciekawe miejsca po prostu, gdzie sam byłem i robiłem fotki. A uszczypliwe komentarze możesz sobie oszczędzić, przez kabel każdy mocny :) Miłego dnia życzę i mniej jadu, będzie Ci w życiu łatwiej
Hashlama, Lavash, Pastirma are all Turkish words and we used to live with Bulgarian, Greek, Armenian, Arabs and Kurds in the Balkans and Anatolia. So we are sharing a common past, taste of cuisine and music, even common eating and drinking habits. Why don't you come to Turkey as well? Turkey is still part of Eastern Europe.
Your English accent sounds far far away from UK. Not sure where you from but definitely not from there as you stated. In fact sounds like European knows how to speak in English properly. Nothing personal just saying what I see.

Drinking Russian vodka in Poland? What an offence! :-)
We have bryndza in Poland as well. In fact, people from different regions will have a different understanding of this product. Bryndza is most popular in the mountains.
It’s unusual and refreshing to see an Englishman curious about Polish culture and willing and ready to learn the language.
Hello! Thanks for your support… one of my favorite passions is learning and experiencing new cultures and languages. Poland is definitely a great one!👍
I love Polanski
Many English are interested in Poland. We love the Polish people.

"Ile to kosztuje?" means "How much does it cost?- if you just want to know the price of a product.
Two English guys meet abroad. What’s the first thing they ask?
What team do you support
Chelsea 🤣
During the Comunism times the Pliska brendy been more quality,my father used to say ! :) ...
I am sure it was... now things are very commercial.
Thanks for watching mate👌👍
Hmmm.... You feel at home in Poland 😉
I do mate!!!
It is a fantastic country👍👌
There are 50 shades of Warsaw and Praga is one of them.
What is the New York Police Homicide Department doing in Warsaw's Praga district? Theo Kojak in 2022

The english friend has a kind of polish accent after 25 years living in Poland. 😅
I tried to cross the border but the polish border guards stopped me
Hi mate?
On what basis did they not allow you? Was it the Polish side or the Ukranians?
@@J.E.E It was on the polish side of the border. It was just allowed for freight transport to cross the border and not allowed for private individuals
@b mly It’s not safe to go to Belarus now. You can travel to Belarus when the war is over

Britan and ireland have been good to Poland thru history fighting Germany, france and germany attacked Poland i think but thier still European brothers i guess.
Nikt w Polsce nie mówi: Jak się masz. Tylko obcokrajowcy. Naprawdę. Brzmi dziwnie.
After brexit I was hoping they never come here again
Walter White was hilarious 😂
Agreed… thanks for watching my friend! 👍👌
A uszczypliwe komentarze możesz sobie oszczędzić, przez kabel każdy mocny :) Miłego dnia życzę i mniej jadu, będzie Ci w życiu łatwiej
would be nice when your companion would prank you
some guy or women can tell u we didnt have vodka together , thats why im pan or pani to u
We can fix that problem very quick👍👌🤣
Hashlama, Lavash, Pastirma are all Turkish words and we used to live with Bulgarian, Greek, Armenian, Arabs and Kurds in the Balkans and Anatolia. So we are sharing a common past, taste of cuisine and music, even common eating and drinking habits. Why don't you come to Turkey as well? Turkey is still part of Eastern Europe.
Hello! Thanks for watching… there are many places I would love to visit and film and I will definitely keep Turkey in mind👍👌

Your English accent sounds far far away from UK. Not sure where you from but definitely not from there as you stated. In fact sounds like European knows how to speak in English properly. Nothing personal just saying what I see.
BTW It was very careless of you to ask about RuZZian vodka. It disappeared from supermarkets in UK as well.
Haha thats ridiculous thing tbh cos as fsr as i know even ukrainians dealing with russians do the researc and stop sharing this bullshit
