It doesn't work in Minecraft version 1.21. With pillagers, the effect bottle drops, but in the video, it shows that the player immediately receives the effect of the negative status.

But I dig down 25 blocks instead of 20. So, I can killing them only take one hit

i’m playing on hard with java 1.21.1, it doesn’t seem possible to get as many pillagers as you did even with the increased difficulty
