Targets inflicted with bleed will receive 20% increased physical damage, which is good not only for low defense but also high defense enemies. On the other hand, Ares will only increase damage significantly on high defense enemies. An additional note: I feel that in your recent content on new heroes you've completely ignored the GvG usage of heroes. Anora is probably going to be the new GvG goddess. GvG doesn't use Dolores or other buffers, so having 1.5 mages in a single unit is huge. Similarly for Ares, he's a high-hp two-tile fighter providing consistent defense down and vulnerability. He'll find some use as a bruiser. Adding in GvG usages in your content would be a good way of better assessing heroes.
he can be used in GD2 for a Valeria replacement maybe ? I would say a solid hero just nothing crazy. I'm pretty sure he was designed and on test server way before the Volka buff so that might me why he seems underwhelming atm .

Same. About 450 summons and then 17 golden summons and I got Boreas, A1 Ares and Abomination. The rest was 7 Deimos and then epic duplicates. I got 4000 of those epic coins from this event. x.x

I’m guessing very few, after all we all get three good ones for free. If they’re going to give us nightmare units, how about the faction’s first healer? Or a 2nd marksman. But a fighter? I mean he’s a support-damage hybrid not a pure damage dealer, his whole kit is based around debuffing and from the GB1 testing it seems he does a better job than Salazar who applies bleed. He did more damage and made Lust and Arrogance deal a combined 20 million more damage with him in the comp. He exists to help other Nightmare units do more damage while also doing respectable damage himself. He’s by no means bad. He provided 22 million more damage in GB1 than Salazar did (2 million himself and 20 million he gave to Lust/Arro). That’s not nothing. He’s a better Salazar, if Salazar is a bad hero and useless then I agree with you.
i feel like having torodor actually buffs him, cuz that means you have 2 nightmare lords, so you can just use the meta nightmare team in Apoc2 and use a budget version with Wrath and Ares in Apoc1
Poor Salazar and Cuke. From Hero to Zero in less than 3 nerfs. Explains why my main account is now under the power of my free account. New champs are just better than the old ones. Give me back all the summons I used to get Salazar so I can get the new OP fighters please?
Got a1 Ares sadly enough and gave him the best gear and he was dismal. Just another filler hero. It almost seems like there are 2 teams at work with the beta squad spitting out crap heroes while the other is going all out with making theirs as op as humanly possible.
He just too generic, in fact he is the most generic dps hero you'll ever find. As an endgame player, i want specialist heroes, niche ones. Could make him part of chaos faction but then he'll be way too overpowered.

He has no invulnerability or tanking mechanics is single target and doesn't hit air these would be my not viable for GvG reasons

Why would you want to hold on to dupes? Ideally, you want to max out awakening and sell dupes.
