I would personally give an honorable mention as well to Meriel, she's been a super solid defender on my account! Also good to know Brokkir is so high up on your list, I pulled him pretty early and thought he was decent but I haven't put much into him yet. I'll change that!
Constance is the only tank that keeps my team alive in every scenario really. She is a good tank and somehow even a decent healer. I got her literally in 3rd week after I started playing and she got me through everything so far( I play for 6 months now) I use her with Valkyra, they together make an aboslut deadly combo. Obviously she is not as good as Olague when it comes down to pure tanking, but she is not falling behind either.
I like everything except for torodor as 6th. Every day passing the meta favours torodor a lot. The extra 35% chance for extra hits Is great + area control.
This is super helpful, I struggle with the defense!(My fav is Baron) But just wanted to say, I love your vids, I started doing lore vids about WoR because of creators like you 😊 it's a great community
Always a fan of a good tier list! Captain Reeves is definitely my favorite tank. Definitely agree with your take on him though. More of a fighter/tank hybrid with good dmg/attack speed/life steal. Glad to see the shout out for Isolde too! I feel like she doesn't get enough love cause her faction is absolutely stacked with great Defenders
This is good to know...I got Baron the same time that I got Brokkir and kind of ended up using Baron for everything. I did level up Brokkir but never really used him much...I might need to take a second look at him.
constants inspiration is arguably better than doloris's doloris base attack 2367 with 40% inspiration constants attack is 3248 (3548 with A2) with 45% inspiration the only advantage doloris gives is more up time with her A5 and 5 cost (so situationally better), but if you have enough regen on your team and coin cost isn't an issue she is hands down better.
On Dolores you Only need Att% and Flat Att. Stats like HP, Def or Rage Regen is nice to have, but not rly needed. On Constance you need everthing, Since shes a Ground Unit (Defender) you need at Least some HP/Def, then you need Attack Speed, and ofc you need Attack. Additionally Dolores Inspiration is 60% compared to Constance's 45%.
the one thing i noticed about nightmare faction and it appears as though no other faction deal with a problem quite like this, 0 healers for the nightmare faction, the closest thing that faction has to a healer is volka, and even then her life steal passive isn't terribly effective, i checked and no other faction is lacking a class in that way
Well, I would say that every faction has some focus. Piercers have 95% marksmen, no mage and are mainly for light armor flyers. Esoteria and Cursed Cult are mostly mages, for AoE, one marksmen among both. And then you have Chaotic and Nightmare, which focus on melee. While Nightmare doesn't even have healer, as you pointed out, Chaotic has 2 unconventional healers, with synergy for low HP chaotic. Almost every faction has its own strengths and weaknesses, and if you don't run trials, you're gonna use Hollow, Elowyn or Vortex for healing very often anyway.
@@petrnekola8530 thus is true, however there are exceptions in every faction except nightmare, i must have over-looked the lack of a mage in piercers, as much as i agree that every faction has it's strength and weaknesses, and they should, however i will say a complete lack of a class in any given faction is a little extreme in my opinion, and yes nightmare faction trial was what i had in mind when i wrote my initial comment
volka often does more healing than 60% of the healers in game, if you need heals in faction trial, she's your girl. i can almost do drakes chasm IV with just her on heals (just a couple of heroes dont have enough hp or att speed) i use hollow for rage regen and Volka will out heal her. her healing is really effective, it's like an unlimited range Aoe heal wile attacking, you just have to realize it depends on the attack speed and HP of those being healed and the healing done in the report is not attributed to her but to them.
@@johnriverstone I personally think that they will balance it out a bit in a future. Maybe someone like Constance, melee based healer will suit that faction well
I will say that this tierlist is absolutely wrong if you are looking as a hero overall as Torodor and Constance should be top 2 without question (they are used in most end game content). If you are looking just at tanking ability then top 2 is correct, just in the wrong order. Also having a tierlist of tanks without any of the lords for the tankiest faction is absurd in my opinion. Nothing against you Ash, you have lovely vibes and enjoy your content, just disagree with this ranking.😊

I really slept on Isolde until the anniversary event stages and Semrah. She is such a tough girl
