It's the Rogue River, entering into the Pacific Ocean. The Jet boats are tours that go up river to Agness, originally started to deliver the mail. Beautiful scenery.
My home turf there, commercial fished out of port orford and gold beach. That is the historic Mary D Hume, historic arctic explorer tug. 30 years ago was higher and drier, now pretty much melting into the seafloor. Don't miss Port Orford, Russ!
All the rocks is what makes the Oregon coast so beautiful. The waves breaking on the rocks is terrific. The California coast has no rocks for the ocean to break on.. glad you didn’t plaster your new van with all those stickers.
Been there and loved it! Thanks for the memory! BTW, there were four different signs in the video that named the river. Can't believe you missed all of them.
Your stops along the coast are full of wonderful treasures! I look forward to seeing and hearing about your travels! Thanks for such a wonderful video! Safe travels!
Sounding like a broken record here, but you're doing an excellent job capturing all the beauty. That drive is something else. Love the beautiful bridges, and landscape. Wow! Ty. 😊👍👍
Yepper doo, Oregon coast is pretty. Great motorcycle riding as long not too windy or misty. Always carried my rain gear just incase. Boat rides up the Rogue River to Agnes. We would have motorcycle campouts at Agnes. Coast primary Douglas Fir except the Shore Pine (lodgepole pine). Thanks for the video. You are in my country now.
It's the Rouge River. I have been through Gold Beach quite a few times, but never noticed that ship wreck. That was a nice find. It looks like its deteriorating fast. Some recent online pictures show it a lot more intact.
Morning Russ! Heck yes I could live there! Google says that's Rogue River. For a minute I thought that was the African Queen.😉 Expected Charlie Alnut to appear. Your videos are fun! Stay safe out there!🍀
Originally from Kansas City, but I lived there for a couple of years back in the late '80's. Surprisingly, the winter there is fairly mild. Rarely gets snow, but the wind is fierce. Wonderful town, and some great folks living up there.
I used to live there back in the '70s when "Hippie Hill" was a place where all the forest service and mill workers lived and after work they would go to the Crows Nest or The Sunset and hang out. good memories
There's an RV place right there by the boat with the grass towards the ocean Oceanfront View. God bless you and everybody. Keep On Truckin North good fishing spots everywhere.
Andrea Omy If you do a Google Maps search for "Pistol River Middle, Gold Beach, OR". He was at the second pull out north of that. North of Pistol River, south of Ariya's Beach Ocean Lookout and Rest Stop.
I grew up in a small town near the coast about 45 minutes away from Astoria Oregon in a town called Clatskanie Oregon. Although Clatskanie is not on the coast it is still relatively close love the Oregon Coast
That's the Rogue River, upstream there are a couple neat campgrounds and beaches on the river and further beyond the mountain range behind the coast area is another great campground called Indian Marry campground with some mining ruins on the other side of the river just before the campground and next is Grants Pass and I-5 freeway. the mail boat-jet boat ride is well worth the money.
You asked "would you live here?" .. The answer is yes, I would and I did for a short time.. Gold Beach is an awesome coastal town. I fished off that jetty many times catching red tailed perch.. A fun place for sure! ;-)
I have family in Gold Beach. It's a sleepy little town. Quiet in the winter, expensive in the summer when all the tourists show up. They are thinking they may move to a bigger town, still on the Oregon Coast.
How much does it cost to stay a night in a state park on the OR coast i am planning on heading that way in a month. Thanks. Great vids. Beautiful coast line.
I believe that is a "viaduct" bridge. "Viaducts are a type of bridge that are made of multiple small spans". The golden gate bridge is NOT a viaduct since it has only one span.

I lived here when I was a kid. Good memories. I do remember it was cold and windy a lot
Unbelievable coastline! Gorgeous. Would love to camp there! ❤️
Coastal Oregon is just beautiful but be wary of sneaker waves (unexpected overwhelming waves) when ever you get close to the water.
Heading north, you need to stop at the Tillamook Creamery tours of making cheese, etc. Raised in Oregon, loved the coast.

Rogue River, only Rouge when we have a red tide.
Denny Walters LOL, thanks. That was a typo. It's an awesome river. :)

Lucky you. Not in california . Enjoy and safe travels.
You should pull out your gold pan and dig up some of the black sand there on the beach. There is good gold there on the beach.
Also if you go to the beach at Cape Dissapointment in Ilwaco wa. you will find a lot of gold on that beach also.
We are very in love with Gold beach, we have been many times and it is in our mind to move there, it is wonderful, thanks for sharing.

Well done sir!!
It is the Route river.
I lived there from 3rd to 8th grade, some of the best memories are from there.....I want to spend more time there again when I escape American Samoa.
After I stop laughing at your humor, I will think about it!
hehehe 😄😇
Where you parked at 2:30 ? Looks nice

@@SunRumbaShow its sweet to live near the ocean, its really unpopulated tbh but i like that about it
You asked "would you live here?" .. The answer is yes, I would and I did for a short time.. Gold Beach is an awesome coastal town. I fished off that jetty many times catching red tailed perch.. A fun place for sure! ;-)

Ty I’m excited to live there. I’m on a waiting list for an apartment. Great video
So,
Are you going to stop at the sea lion caves ???
I saw that boat in around 1997 already sunk but a lot better shape back then
I've got to explore that area. Beautiful.
The Oregon coast is amazing.
Good for cycling
love the drone shot.
Confirmed! I will be road tripping here after Labor Day.
Wow-spectacular views
If it is cold there in the winter I could live there than. Maybe it is a chance to build a farm there up by the river......

Another great video!
Now you looking at a boat, I might be able to afford. Wonder if they sell on lay-a-way. :-)
