I don't know if you noticed but the solution in your lamp is still cloudy. Sure, it's possible that it simply takes time for the liquid to clear up, as others have said. Many report that it literally took many days for the solution to clear once the lamp has been sitting on their desk. So my suspicion is that modern lava lamps become cloudy thanks to transportation and it takes time for the sediment to settle down. Your audio level in the video need to be equalized. Your voice is very quiet and yet the music is 10X louder. Almost destroyed my speakers the second I turned up the volume to hear you better. Still kudos for trying.
The beginning formation is a natural part of warming up. If you would have just waited another hour and let it heat up on its own as its designed to do, it would have gotten to that flow eventually. By using the hairdryer you just sped up the process. These lamps take multiple hours to reach peak performance. Its not simply switch on and instant flow.
@@maximillianoortiz9255 try a higher watt bulb. The new lamps made innthe last decade in china are trash. If you can find a nice vintage lamp from the 90s or earlier theyre much higher quality liquid and wax. I have 2 lamps one from 96 one from 97 and they work very well crystal clear liquid. Try marketplace or offerup. 👍
Mine got shook around during moving and its got goop all along walls on inside..would a dryer or heatgun help remove it? Have you ever opened one and removed everything and manually ckeaned the inside?
I think some of these bottles have a thin film. I’m curious with the heat gun, but it could be risky if the bottle has a layer over it. It’s always risky when you do something like this. I personally don’t like the idea to open this and I’ve never done that, but I’m not in your situation. If you haven’t tried the blower, I’d try that first. Good luck 👍
I bought a reflector bulb with the correct wattage, and it improved the flow in mine 100%! I really think the delivery is what is causing them to be so cloudy. I have two to be returned because they are not clearing up after many cycles, and also heating it up in a pot of cold to boiling water. The lamp has to acclimate to the temp, or it will break the glass.
I would post a video, and give me the link so I can see it. You may get good support from other youtubers. Make sure the lamp stays on for at least 30 minutes for it to get hot enough
Hot, the issue I had in this room was the lamp placement. It was under an air vent. You need to keep it away from air flow so It can warm up a little better. Another recommendation was to get a slightly higher watt rating for the bulb
Hey there! Don’t panic, take a small video and share here and if you title it good enough, you may get others in the community to give you some good advice.

@@MichaelASwick-jl5bz it's most likely from running too long, the longer it runs the more bubbles and in turn more wax pieces that break off. I normally just head it up until the lava moves again, turn it off immediately at this point, let it cool a bit and heat it up again. The whole thought process is allowing the wax to melt into itself again into one blob like when you bought it. Air bubbles are caused from letting it run too long

THANK YOU. I literally bought my lava lamp not even a day ago and the 2nd time I use it, it did this. This helped it start working normal again

Not true because ive keep mine over night and it stayed cloudy and stuck

Omg thank you I fix my lava lamp with this
The temperature of the room it's in makes a difference too, usualy about 75 degrees f.

Well for me the goo stuff is on the top and not melting how do I fix it??
just put aluminum foil around it
and turn it on
That light it pretty white, you sure you dont have an led bulb in it?
I had the same problem another solution is to wrap tinfoil around the lava lamp until the metal coil reaches the bottom
Hello
You should change the bulb to a higher wattage one.
I can see your metal coil is tilted it needs to lay flat on the bottom of the glass.
You have it on high heat or low heat
This was on high heat. A possible good permanent fix maybe to find a bulb with higher watts
@@allenm3994 okay thank you

Get a 40 watt appliance bulb
Wait but my lava lamp is foggy and the liquid is orange, it is only a few days old and I want to know how to fix it,

Thanks so much
We put in a hotter bulb and it started working immediately, but the water is too colored to see the lava properly. Poorly made lamp for us.
Did you use the hot or cold on dryer

@@allenm3994 thank you so much! But I’m ok now because I left it on for about 3 hours then came home and left it off all night and it cleared up!!😄😄
Except mine dont look like that
What happened to yours?
Allen M It’s kinda cloudy and has white dots on the glass. When the lava wax heats up it’s not a perfect flow and has air bubbles in it
@@MichaelASwick-jl5bz i would do a recording and post it to TH-cam. Put the link here, you’ll get some good support from others. I’d like to see it
