This level blew me away. Love the eerie glow pervading it and the lighting and colors in general. If there ever was a proper way to do an urban section in a game about raising tombs this is it. This whole game and London in particular is a tour de force of quiet atmospherics.
When you’re playing you obviously notice the ambiance but don’t pay 100% attention to it. It’s amazing how much goes on in it when you get a chance to really focus on it. Lovely 🥰
Thames Wharf may be a very obnoxious spike in difficulty that lacks a clear path on where to go, but the atmosphere prevents me from disliking it. It's beautiful.
Hours? It took me a couple of hours mainly because the first portion was pretty difficult in terms of the fastest method of doing this and that. Eventually I done everything I could in the first portion of the level and saved here, thinking to myself "what do I do next?" I can always see that one ledge that looks very far and I started thinking to myself "Am I supposed to take a leap of faith?" I found out you could which lead me to thinking "That is ridiculous." I then got to the near end of the stage where it looked like I was stuck again, only to discover I had to take another leap of faith on a very low platform, taking half of my health away. I said one more time "THAT IS INSANE!" Finished it, finished the whole game actually. Aside from most of the London levels and some of the Antarctica levels, this game is pretty solid.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 haha Yeah that all sounds very familiar. Did you ever play the Bonus level - "All Hallow"? If you like the London levels you should love that one :P TR3 is a solid game but Tomb Raider 2 will always be the best game for me. God i love that game...
I don't know. Tomb Raider 2 strayed a bit too far from what made Tomb Raider 1 very memorable. Modern environments aren't very appealing and the overabundance of combat sucked me out of the experience. I am starting to like the game now that I got the bad levels out of the way, but I like 3 more for giving me a better first impression, as well as feeling much better to play than the first 2 instalments.
I've just finished playing Tomb Raider 2. I posted my final thoughts on Reddit. Here's the link if you're interested. www.reddit.com/r/TombRaider/comments/fnaahi/finished_tomb_raider_2_very_mixed_feelings_on/
I love how you can hear the Underground trains rattling through in the distance. I live in London and that sound is cozy and familiar.
I used to play this level and start doing nothing, just watching the city, is so relaxing, thanks for uploading this.
Yo hacia lo mismo, no pense encontrar un video como este. Aparte de relajar tambien me trajo nostalgia
this is so cute
I loved this level as a child, I never finished it because I kept getting lost.
I replayed it recently and fell in love all over again ❤❤❤
SO atmospheric ... A perfect game location for ambience.

I agree. I remember when I streamed Tomb Raider 3 I got stuck on these levels for hours...
