It is so satisfying to watch the brush strokes slide along the paper... Incredible expressivity, but in an angular sense; it's not chaotic or motley -- it's intentional and has a wonderful energy to it. Thank you for your art!
Love this! I so want to visit Cornwall….thank you for posting this. You’re studio is beautiful! Now I’m going to go down to mine and try to make it as nice. 😀🇬🇧!
I have always thought that artists (painters) received a gift, making us dream of those wonderful brushstrokes, I loved your sketchbook and your final work. Congratulations.
I LOVE love your paintings. I aspire to paint abstractly but for me want elements to be discovered, the story. Have to say have a tinge of envy. seeing your gorgeous studio, AND THEN, the sea. The smell , the air, the power all combine to bring me to ecstatic joy.
I did a fine art degree in Birmingham in the seventies, I did a pre dip in Exeter and worked as an illustrator for my career and I’m now retired, living in the wilds of west Wales. I’m now able to paint what I want to do. Your work is fantastic so good luck to you.
I’m so glad your video popped up this morning. Yes I can feel your wind, sea, and emotions all the way down here in New Mexico. I’ve listened to your commentary several times, as I resonated with your methods. I feel tapped into. Haha🌻
It is such a joy to watch your video, your art, hear your words about your art. I am much older, woman still painting, and this video gives me an incredible joy and feeling I must paint more. Thank you Hannah😍🇩🇰
“I don’t want the work to be too picturesque or too easy or too pretty”… I too am very interested in sketchbooking as part of the process. Just came across this video & very much enjoyed watching & listening. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing, this was lovely. I totally agree that we need to try and loosen up when painting landscapes and let the viewer fill in some of the gaps. I am guilty of being too literal in my paintings and they feel overworked. Where you live is so inspiring too, really jealous!
Very glad that this video "knocked on my door", so to speak. Absolutely love these works. One question, please....I like the look of those square sketchbooks...do you have a favourite make?
Hi, so glad you liked the work. I just use any khadi paper or hot pressed heavy watercolour paper sketchbooks, no particular brand - I think I got the last one on holiday somewhere!

That is so refreshing to see an honest artist! No gimmicks. Bravo!
Your studio is dreamy!

Tears of inspiration are so wonderful … it’s been 15 years since I put a brush in my hands and I miss it very much
Please let this be call to pick up a paint brush again
"my work, it's tapping into people's emotions" ....I'm taken and sold, that for me makes you a great artist for sure.
Wonderful video, Hannah! It's so inspiring to see you sketching in the landscape and working in your beautiful, light-filled studio.
Beautiful work… enjoyed your vision…

your work is fantastic!
Nicely done. That also might be the best explanation of abstract / interpretation hybrid.
Great work! Those are some of the most exciting landscapes I have seen in a long time.
