    Thanks for posting Bill. Interesting to see dyno results but would be nice to see how that translates into the real world. A quarter mile would be interesting but 0-60 or 0-80 would be more useful for most people. Or passing times like 40-60 or 60-80. One big plus the exhaust isn't super loud. I like to ride fast so it is better to attract less attention. Do they have a better option for blocking rain? Would be interesting to see if a tune actually helped as well.

    • @BLRTUNING
      @BLRTUNING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope nothing done to the bike other than the parts put on it so we're showing in real time in real life what it looks like when you do an exhaust and intake. As you can see the bike would be much better off if it was tuned so we always recommend anytime you're doing these parts you also need tuning to get the air to fuel ratio back to the correct specs.

  • @crazychris7417
    @crazychris7417 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So does this raise your top end speed any? I know these are limited as far as top speed goes, or is that something that has to be tuned?

    • @BLRTUNING
      @BLRTUNING  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So the top speed limit on these bikes on both the 900 and the rally is set to 104 mph in the ECU.. when it gets past that speed the ECU starts pulling ignition timing and fuel to try and slow you down. So yes you can get past it and many people have on the stock factory ECU but it'll feel as if you're hitting a wall and it's not allowing you to pick up speed like you think it should... Yes this will improve top speed but you're still going to hit that limiter in the ECU...
      With custom tuning work which I do offer we can remove that top speed limiter in the ECU using the Dynojet pv3... It's part number pv3-25-11 on their website..
      So far the fastest ryker that we've seen top speed wise with actual video proof is 113 mph..
      While torque and 0 to 60 time can be improved tremendously top speed is definitely something that these bikes are not designed for. We are limited to the CVT transmission itself...
      if you have any further questions I'd be more than happy to answer things as best I can you can message me through the blr tuning Facebook page...

    • @BLRTUNING
      @BLRTUNING  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@josephgolden1565 as of right now it cannot be done.. in order to put it on the dynonot only do you have to mess with some of the sensors on board you also have to have the buds system plugged into the diagnostic port. You have to have a license for theBud system once you have that you have to put the bike into a specific mode using the buds system in order to run it on the dyno.. it's not a matter of just pulling the bike up on the dyno and making a pull... All of the different sensors will not allow you to do that... The thing with the buds system is it will only recognize a factory tune on the ECU. if we flash a different tune to the bike the buds system no longer recognizes the bike. Therefore we cannot put it into the specific mode in order to run it on the dyno... That is what's holding us back from doing a tune on the bike and running it on the dyno to show the power gains in a Dyno graph... we do know that we can tune the ryker no problem I can even build a custom map for your rykor if you own the pv3.. we know that it makes more power by tuning it just based on how it feels when you ride it... However at this moment in time until Dynojet figures out their research we cannot show these numbers of it being tuned on the dyno... we are doing more research and working closely with Dynojet to figure this out but as of right now it's simply cannot be done...

I have ridden my Rally through the back woods around the Applichan mountains and that area of western North Carolina. The numbers we showed would be pretty accurate for them to be measuring at the crank... All manufacturers measure horsepower at the crank unless specified at the wheel...

      Unfortunately it takes a lot of manipulation to get the bike to run on the dyno.it cost us a lot of money and a lot of time to run it on the dyno. the bike also needs to remain plugged into the buds to system in order for it to even be ran on the dyno.. what this means is it can only be ran on the dyno on the stock factory tune vial as buds will not recognize a custom tune.. obviously we are working on ways to get around this and we tried multiple things and spend a lot of money doing so LOL.... So to keep the answer short.. NO WE HAVE NOT RAN IT ON THE DYNO AFTER THE TUNE.
      However we do have a pretty good guess as to how much horsepower you can make based on GPS times and how the bike responds and feels.
      I would say you can gain right around 20 horsepower on a completely stock Can-Am Ryker with a custom tune...
      Exhaust intake air filter that type of thing.. or any high performance parts we can take advantage of those parts in the tune

      No you will be required to remove the factory air box...
      I have a TH-cam video that will show you the installation process so you have a better understanding as to what you have to do...

      This summer we will find out the answer to that exact question at the drag strip. We plan on racing both bikes this summer.. there will be plenty of video footage..

      Really is no surprise, even auto transmissions in cars can lose 20%, the dyno showed 20% loss stock, then mods brought it back in line. With those mods engine hp would be around 100, not bad.

    Embarrassing when you realize a stock Yamaha FZ09 triple 850cc makes 115 Hp

      Remember these bikes will never compare to a two-wheeled motorcycle. It's a very unfair comparison. This bike has a CVT transmission it doesn't have gears to go through so all it does is wind out to Max RPM and that's it that's what you get. It's an entirely different ball game. Comparing it to a geared two-wheeled motorcycle is like comparing apples to oranges. Two totally different things...
