Lexi was the first trans person I had ever heard from in my life and since then I have met so many wonderful gender queer people in my life and have come out to myself as transmasc, I just want her to know that you helped me realize who I am as a person. Looking back all the peices were there I just needed the time to put the puzzle together and with the resources that I have today I was able to put the puzzle that is my gender together.

This reminded me of the plant/animals and alien lifecycle around the Portuguese speaking colony in one of the Enders' Game novels, can't remember what it's called now, where an artificial virus modified the ecosphere so all organisms start as plants, give rise to animals and when the animal 'dies' the first time they turn into a plant again, starting the life-cycle again. When the carbon dioxide in the air got too much, the organisms in their plant stage would release a chemical which induced the creatures in the animal stage to go into violent frenzy, kill each other, the corpses would germanate into the plant stage of their life-cycle, produce more oxygen and less carbon dioxide and auto-stabalise the ecosphere, while too much oxygen would induce a baby-boom that led to more creatures in the animal stage of the life-cycle. I liked that book, even despite the giant plot hole where the protagonists go from "someone once mentioned this concept has been theorised to exist" to "Let's base our entire plan on this concept being completely true" without any proof of the theoretical concept being mentioned anywhere, any exposition or aha moment in order to bridge the gap, which broke the suspension of disbelief a bit.
