This is one of those shows that if given a season 2 and 3 with proper plots and a great studio at the helm, it can become a real classic. The world building was pretty solid. Nothing was over explained, the pacing was weird sometimes but the dopest part is that this was a war anime where not everyone makes it, and if they do make it, they don’t always come out whole. I’m a fan of a little bit of realism to ground some anime traits in a show and this almost did it really well.
Sure but they would have to create a completely original story for it ... since there is no more of the source material, or get the author to write it for them

what would they do some cliché story about one of the people from the old kingdom wanting revenge or maybe diablos wasnt killed etc etc, this anime ended the best way it could have and doesnt need more seasons

@@broti705 bruh, if you are just going to speak out of hatred for something, then it's best you don't use the word logic as your basis for your argument.
The _actual_ logic is that she knew there were people opposed to the union, and they would keep rebelling and causing conflict between both factions in the future.
If they can summon a demon lord, what else can they do?
The woman loved her fiance, but she knew he was too weak to fight that corruption, so she took it upon herself to unite the world by force.
More specifically, if i remember right, the goal was to create a Grancrest to literally cleanse the corruption, but the people opposed to it would refuse to give up their crests, and to save her fiance from the responsibility of the bloodshed, she left him and attempted to do it herself.
It wasn't until later when she witnessed him join the fight and defeat his opponents without mercy that she realized her mistake, but she thought it was already too late to stop. She had already given herself to another man in her quest to unify the world- she knew there was no way he would forgive her.
@@huuamai8151 Hey, I'm all for calling out the princess as possessed by lovesick-induced stupidity, but I argue the choice still didn't make logical sense. One thing missed here is that there were also more than enough people in favour of the union, else the monarchs would've been thrown out of office the moment it was proposed. Either way, I can't imagine how she thought that literally conquering the other faction(which had proved impossible for the last.....centuries or something? Idk) would be the more reasonable choice than consolidating the alliance and filling the respective power vacuum, keeping the ship steady and holding on to the power structures of the previous monarchs, even when having to shield her weak fiancee. If at all, the intervention of the demon lord would make keeping the alliance together easier, being a third party threat to blame for their woes and all.
Sure, some rebellions might have to get a proper quelling, but I can't imagine how that would be worse than a world-shattering full-on campaign on the union. As I said, there might have been a reason, but she certainly didn't make a show of personal and political acumen.
@@broti705 it's a character flaw that needed to be solved through the story.
They not only had to deal with enemy factions, but also the main culprit, the corruption (monsters, demons, all-powerful magic and witches).
It's a fragile line she had to walk where one bad move could have meant the end of the movement.
So, again, she took it upon herself to do it in a way that, should she fall, her loved one would be spared from the chaos.
You may not understand her logic, but I'm sure you can understand her reasoning- her trail of thought. Claw her way to victory or die trying- so long as her fiance's kind soul remained untainted (or something like that- haven't watched this in years).
Then, when she no longer had the strength to do it alone and her fiance accepted who she had become, she accepted the alliance- since there was someone else who rose up with the strength to take up the mantle and fight the corruption (the main character).
The true winner in this anime is the young dude Petr who gets to bag the tall, ridiculously strong, waifu Aishela. I’m totally not jealous at all…

the best thing about this show was that the MC was truly an ordinary man with no inherit hidden power whatsoever in a world where powerful human and magic exist.
I really like this anime: beatiful magic, intresting story, no stupid Harem mechanics (Theo and Siluca are a solid couple since early), side charactes well written, great animation most of time. We need more animes like this.

The truly sadistic part, is that this is a future Earth. The Matrix keeps humanity at war so as to keep them from self-destruction. If humanity attains peace, the end of the world is close at hand.
On the slapping hand, the protag doesn't get a harem. Also for a breath of fresh air, he gets proposed to and says, "Yeah, I like that idea."

This was such a great Anime, probs one of the best war anime, and the Romance was actually some of the best written in these types of anime.

@@brandonstephens6897When it comes to some ComicBook stories, and cartoon shows based on them; I imagine there is a chance that some individuals won’t like the material, but that doesn’t mean everyone will dislike it.
After all I am a big fan of the anime show series of (GRANDCREST WAR) & I really want to see a Second Season of it, and so I hope the creator rethinks his decision about not making a Second Season of it.
I strongly feel all ComicBook stories, and the cartoon shows deserves a proper ending made for them, and that ending shouldn’t be a cliffhanger ending.

This anime sounds like a lost Fire Emblem game.
Being an all time Fire emblem enthusiast is what made me watch this anime years ago. It was decent, similar to how some fire emblem story goes, Lynn, Eliwood, Hector, Eirika, Seth, Ephraim, Marth, Roy, Ike but the closest one would be the Three houses with Byleth, Edelgard, Dmitri and Claude. Nostalgic, can still remember the frustration when someone died in your heroes that you know will never come back and joy of recruiting new characters. Suikoden 1 & 2 story could also fit in.

2 emperors of 2 alliances of many city-states, who had their own kings/dukes/whatever. Their deaths created 2 huge power vacuums. Along with the "neutral" religion and guilds infighting and manipulating, it's realistic as can be. The fall of the roman empire, plus magic, in anime form.
It's some straight up Netflix resident evil level of writing smart people turn dumb when it comes to plot development. I hated this show for that entire reason.

this anime has NTR, the princess is willing to give her body to sleep with a man, so that the man can help his kingdom.
Honestly I'm a little disgusted at the princess's behavior, she broke the prince's heart and what makes me think that after the princess lost the war the prince persuaded the princess to be with him again, But the princess felt unworthy of the prince after he slept with a man, the prince replied that he had no problem with it.
But don't worry they are not the main character, the princess is the sister of the Heroine. But I'm still annoyed with the princess and prince in this anime To the extent that I make English comments even though I can't speak English.

I like this show, first watch it on Netflix, but I doubt there will be a season 2 for 1 reason most of the great anime I have seen they mostly don't bring out a sequel and most of the mediocre shows always get a sequel and all the most worst anime movies and shows always get a sequel and more sequels… yes I'm looking at your Ghost in the Shell oo I hate that movie and show lol well it did make me get some sleep when I was 17 at an anime convention as an early release lol
