You're gonna have to wait a few years for game developers to bring out the full potential of the Series X. It's still in the infancy stage of it's lifespan. Compare newer ONE titles with older ONE titles, it's a generational looking leap. Some titles on the ONE look just as comparable to on the Series X. Some titles are just the ONE X version ported to the XS.
From my experience, Quality mode is nice for still shots and just cruising around, but when racing nothing is even close to performance mode. The 60fps and crisp detail (way less blur) really takes the cake when driving fast.
Agreed, quality mode is also awesome I'd you only do barn finds 😉 the lights, texture on cars look like real life ...but performance mode takes a bit off with the matte feel look but compensates with steady 60fps

Just play the mode that gives you more fun. There are some details that you can't see unless you get too close to your screen. Personnaly, I'll try both and I'll see which mode gives me more fun :)
@Bo Mo Bro life is 60fps and a racing game needs to be at 60fps it's a lot more fluid the game has a lot more sense of speed so at 30fps it feels like it's crashing in slow motion
FPS is everything. I showed my wife this video of and she was convinced that the graphics looked better in performance mode (on the Series S). I had to convince her that what she was seeing was actually the smooth movement giving the illusion of a more real, authentic experience and that the “graphics” were actually worse.

Just got a series s after trading in my original xbox one. I'm so excited to play this after only playing it on the old Xbox ones graphics. Great video!
I love how you can scale your game quality between multiple consoles for the same exact game. Those poorer people, like me, can still enjoy today's games on our older machines.
Great video and perfect comparison between the consoles. I'm not a big gamer and still enjoy my gamecube 😂 but want to play horizon - thanks to this I think I'll stick with my plan of getting a 2nd hand one-x and save money over a new one! Thank you
This is why I play on PC... the issue the one guy pointed out. You have these devs deciding for you what's best, and they don't seem to think mixing quality and performance is best and that has always driven me insane. I don't need 4K... I need max graphical settings and 60fps. So what do I do on PC? Lower resolution to 1440p, put settings on high or ultra, and I get 60fps. You can do that with less than 12TF of compute power in this game too, which is infuriating for Series X owners.
It's a little bit strange how they decided on the Series X to reduce visual settings and prioritize resolution. 1440p at max settings is far superior to medium settings 4k.
Looks to me like Quality mode on Series S is virtually identical to Quality mode on Series X, which makes sense when the CPU is nearly identical and the rest is just resolution scaling. Anyone who is still stuck on Xbox One and is willing to tolerate 30fps should really go get the Series S which has reasonably good availability.
@@cluckbent6466 your one of those people who need to have something that is stronger because your over compensating lol. When I first started playing the game I put in performance mode for the higher frame rate and I played like that for a while, then I thought let’s see the difference in quality mode. While the graphics looked better and there was more detail the loss of frames made it look worse for me when actually driving around and playing, so I switched back to performance and haven’t looked back. This is on a Series S.
Yeah the devs need to focus on 60FPS minimum. These consoles are advertised and sold as 60 & 120, not 30 & 60. I'm seeing a lot of missed marks that, as unbelievable as it is to say, looks to me like blatant false advertising. When you sell a product as 1440P with a targeted frame rate minimum of 60, but only deliver 1080P at a maximum of 60, it's not a good look. All that said though I am satisfied with my Series S. Though I'd be really happy if they actually delivered good looking games at 1440P and 60/120.

@@stabilozz That's your prerogative, but a smooth 30 is still smooth to me, and I'll take the draw distance and extra fidelity. The biggest issues with the series s is its lackluster internal 500gb hard drive and its 10gb of ram. 10gb of ram is simply not going to be enough in the future without developers having to start scaling back on quality mode in their games and just making the games run in performance mode for the series s versions. Even the one x has more ram than the series s does. Now there are rumors that the series s will get an refresh which it will need I'm guessing a 1tb hard drive and at least 2gb of more ram, which it badly needs. Do you even know why the games run not as good on the Xbox series s which makes you people think it's underpowered. As the gen progresses the games force the series s hardware to ramp up its system utilization as a results games *Will* run similarly even at the end of its life cycle.

Yeah consoles just aren't it
Is series S here an upscale 4k? Since the video on TH-cam in 4k.
It's a little bit strange how they decided on the Series X to reduce visual settings and prioritize resolution. 1440p at max settings is far superior to medium settings 4k.
On Series X with performance mode you have a real 3d texture on road , its perfect.
And the ligthing ...

@@stabilozz That's your prerogative, but a smooth 30 is still smooth to me, and I'll take the draw distance and extra fidelity. its Crazy how much power the Series S can push....only 4 Teraflops vs 12 for the X
As for ray tracing on the s the gpus teraflops is simply too low to support ray tracing on the series s. Its 4 teraflops on its RDNA 2 gpu is equal to that of the 6 teraflops on the one x Vega gpu.
Do you even know why the games run not as good on the Xbox series s which makes you people think it's underpowered. This is because the devs of console unlike pc don't design games to utilize 100% of the hardware. As the gen progresses the games force the series s hardware to ramp up its system utilization as a results games *Will* run similarly even at the end of its life cycle. So regarding your ram concerns *even the Xbox 360 managed to run gta 5 with half a gigabye of ram* series s will crunch through it. Xbox 1x isn't even utilizing 100% of it's ram lmao. 3:00 - this is it! We want to have quality & performance.
PC is Ultimate Gaming Solution
Where is the Playstation comparison!
good question sir
Just close your eyes. There you can see PS5 Quality Mode.
@@runnerbaba or go for 144p 😂
Oh wait... 😅
But this has me wondering why PlayStation doesn't drop a GT arcade 🤔
@@tonygant2448 wasn‘t driveclub one?
Was hoping for a 60fps/1080 on one x
Unbelievable what playground have done with this !
I mean with this graphics fidelity I don’t think the one X can handle it anymore since the CPU is so weak
How do you switch between performance and quality mode on the Series S?
Forza horizon 5 proves the series s is a huge step up from the one x.
@Bo Mo actually it is
@UC_nuBPFCpPiYuEjPqOO5-VQ he said lol because your wrong
@Bo Mo your only blocking him because he's right
Can you play on xbox series s on 4k,and how is the latency? Im seling my ps4 pro to buy a xbox series s so i dont know is theat a good thing im a comoetitive gamer i want the game zo by fast and crispy !!!!
ONE X🤩🔥
What does he say at 14:35 that the series S doesn't have????
one s looks amazing
Series S Quality mode really holds up well with X quality mode
I can't see any differences personally. I'm sure there are minor ones but they aren't really noticeable at all. Both look fantastic.
@@JudeTheTH-camPoopersubscribe I fortunately have a PS5 so I feel that the S would be perfect for me to try out Xbox Exclusive games. PS5 is my main console for games like FIFA, COD etc so it makes sense to get the cheaper series instead.
@@haj619 would literally be perfect for that. Forza and halo will rule this holiday season because playstation doesn't have anything until February I think. So perfect time to buy a series S. Then you've got titles like hellblade 2. Starfield, fable etc coming in the next few years.
Series s ain't far behind the series x...lovely to see...one and one x way behind in terms of detail
The series S quality mode is absolutely stunning. Super impressed with what I played on my 1440p monitor.
Couldn’t they make an in between mode? Drop the resolution somewhat but keep the details in the environment and hold up the fps to 60? If not possible why not 55fps? Or 50? It just seems so, hm, absolute in the way they think. Perhaps there are some technical challenges these things require that makes my suggestion impossible?
Xbox one x can easly handle vegetation graphics from xsx but xss😂
Yes but not at 4k. Then you also have to remember that better textures takes performance of the cpu as well and that is a big problem on one x.
I don’t think these details really matter that much unless you focus entirely on them.
