Today we will start building a peg loom. This is something I have been wanting to make for sometime now. So follow along and I hope my experience inspires you to create one too!
    ...
What the heck is a peg loom?
A peg loom in its most basic form, is a simple wooden board with evenly-spaced holes set into it that house individual pegs used to create beautiful woven rugs, chair pads, blankets, mattress covers/sleeping pads and clothing. Though an exact date of this invention is not fully understood, the peg loom was thought to have had a solid place in traditional Norse/Viking textiles due to its simplicity and portability.
    ...
Who can use a peg loom?
Anyone looking to create woven textiles in a simple way would benefit from a peg loom. The simple concept is easy to create and holds a place in projects ranging from utility and durability (such as rugs, chair and sleeping pads, blankets etc.), to childrens crafts (our 3 year-old uses ours!) and even fine art. I absolutely love the versatility of this loom and the rugs we are creating continue to inspire future projects using wool from our own sheep!

looks great, wondering what size pegs you used? I have a smaller peg loom but it isn't working for the plastic bag homeless mats I'm trying to make. I need the peg large enough to put a plastic bag section thru as the warp. ty
