Having secured a Highly Commended award at carsales Car of the Year 2021, the Polestar 2 repeats the trick in 2023 thanks to a substantial mid-life facelift that transforms the way it drives.
More standard equipment, greater safety, a huge lift in power and range, and much-improved driving dynamics thanks to the switch to rear-wheel drive make this mid-size electric fastback a very appealing premium European EV.
While it isn’t perfect, and hasn’t finished any higher than it did two years ago, the facelifted 2023 Polestar 2 is a much-improved car and well deserving of its Highly Commended award within 2023 carsales Car of the Year, proudly presented by Bingle.

I just took ownership of my MY24 LRSM RWD two weeks ago and absolutely love everything about it. It’s such a fantastic drive, looks hot and it’s an absolute pleasure to use and interact with, all that with great ongoing customer service and low running costs, plus mine was delivered to my front gate. Since you mentioned it, give me my P2 over a Tesla.
Some great offerings coming soon across the board from the Enyaq, and ID4 and 5, to the Seal, i4 35 and the Polestar 4. I’d like to see reviews on all of those!
