I have, I think, the 2022 release. I need to double check that. Best Rye I ever had. One doesn't find Michter's Barrel strength, Michter's Barrel Strength finds you.
Just found it and love it. Here in Maine, it’s only sold at retail price, so no stupid markups. Down-side is that they disappear fast. I got the last one at my local store, otherwise I’d have bought a backup bottle as well.
I picked it up a few weeks ago for 140 and wasn’t mad at the price. Very rare as the biggest volume store in CT only got 1 bottle so while I wouldn’t go any higher it was a great pickup
I would love to find one of these and put it up against my Old Overholt 10 and Thomas H Handy. That Michters looks like a fantastic value for the price. I’ve been on a rye kick lately…sipping on Bulleit 12 and Bardstown Origin Rye regularly. Really hoping to run into this Michters 🙏
ECBP B519 = $80 MSRP and $120 secondary. Blantons = $65 MSRP and $100 secondary. Both bottles MSRP total = $145 and Secondary total = $220. Now let’s talk about the Michters. Michters Barrel Strength Rye = $115 MSRP and $160 secondary. You overtraded both from an MSRP standpoint and from a secondary value standpoint, HOWEVER, when trading less sought after bottles for more sought after bottles it is proper etiquette to trade above value to entice the other party to accept your trade. This is called a “kicker”. When including “kicker” value you still slightly over traded but not by much, maybe $20 worth from a secondary value perspective.
Lou-uh-vlll to to start practicing how to say it. Then that evolves into Lowvllllll. I lived in Lexington for a few years and got scolded by the locals until I could say it right 😂
Another great video 🥃Never had this and it’s so dang hard to find in South Carolina. If anyone have a bottle for sale (that’s not at a crazy price) let me know or even a sample 🥃
That low barrel entry proof does make their regular bottlings very flavorful for their low proof points. But I wish they released more of these higher proof bottlings. Only ever had one and I paid too much for it.

I love this comment. Michters definitely found me today.I lucked into a MBSR 2024 at Msrp on my lunch break today! Cheers
Such good stuff, & I like the Toasted even better. Michter’s is really onto something with their lower barrel entry proof.

Congrats
Great review judge. Just picked this one up and the 2024 bourbon. Can't wait to crack them both!! Cheers!!
It's very good. Quickly becoming one of my favorites
Glad to see you review this Judge. I picked up a bottle of the 2024 Michter’s Barrel Strength Rye a few weeks ago and have not cracked it open yet. 🥃
Thnx Dave

Old Overholt 10 is fabulous
This was my first rye ive tried. Bought a bottle of it and after trying it , i went back and got a back up bottle the same night
Smart move
Nothing better than seeing a reaction like that for a new bottle. Makes me want one even more. Well done Judge
Thnx My friend
Michters seems to make Judge a happy guy, just an observation. I will definitely keep an eye out for this guy. Cheers Judge

Heading there next week to hopefully get something exciting.

Wish I could find it out here in SF for anything close to $110!
Congrats on your sample.. will get that out when you’re back in town, just lmk
Picked up 2. Hurt the pockets but its damn delicious.
Got 2 bottles at the distillery, my buddy did not want the package so i bought his.
I just traded a bottle of Blantons and ECBP b519 for a bottle of the 2024 barrel strength rye. Do you think it was a good trade?
As long as your happy with the bottle you got, that’s all that matters

I love Michter’s
Always been a huge fan. And it always has the marshmallow note

Just sub'd been watching you for a while-very solid review!
Awesome, thank you!
I hope I can get a bottle or two of this! How does it compare to the Michters 10 Rye from last year. That is one of my favorite bottles. Cheers!
