    Just found you guys after the pageau interview, and wanted to thank you for your perspective. I wish this type of depth existed in the protestant churches. It took me 10 years of abandoning society and 2 years of near-solitude to understand many of the things you point to. Keep speaking the truth.

    Nothing more, nothing less. Love is the best. Madness, indeed.

    My brothers did door to door asking for candy and then hid it under the bed.

    1:18:40 I've heard the theory that Noah also was more likely the same kind of strange, weird prophet, because he was building a large boat on dry land and was announcing God's judgment to come (probably as a big, local, flood), rather than the builder of the ark described in the flood account, which was a later and symbolic description of what happened. Of course, this theory comes from those who avoid a literal interpretation of the biblical flood account, as I'm also inclined to do. I wander what do you think about this, Father Stephen and Father Andrew, whether that's an acceptable Orthodox position?
    By the way, Christ did mentioned Noah, his family and the "boat", but He didn't mentioned the animals, so I wander if this could be a clue and an argument for the symbolic description of the flood account.

    Why do icons of Jesus show Him with a kind of thin beard? I know pretty much everything in an icon had purpose. I expected Him to have a very thick beard for some reason!

      "For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
      And like a root out of parched ground;
      He has no stately form or majesty
      That we should look upon Him,
      Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him."

    How do you know that people who have anxiety working an office job do fine as farm workers? Where is this info coming from? You do realize that every office worker is an individual with unique set or challenges to overcome, right? If it is a job that's repetitive and uncreative, office or farm, they may as well be bored at doing either.
    Einstein had classic ADHD, are you saying that people with ADHD are outside of normal societal sphere? Because a lot of ppl with ADHD are the noted inventors, innovators and artists. There is between 6 to 8% of them in any given society and they are, historically speaking, treated as weird and fools, and have a hard time fitting in.

      Talking about not seeing the forest for the trees..
      Anyway, an office job or a farm (as in actually using your hands to create and do something) Vs. the anxiety should be a no brainer really.
      Greetings from an ADHD man.

      It's all there, in plain English (the podcast, your comment & my pathetic excuse for a response, right?). I don't think any further clarification is required for someone who has carefully listened to the podcast.
      Have a good day, Ma'am.

      So, the purpose of your comment to me is to belittle me and feel superior, not to clarify what I missed? I would think that someone with ADHD would be understanding and helpful toward another person with ADHD, who missed something in the video and thus are asking honest questions, after all that's one of the symptoms of ADHD. I guess an person with ADHD can still abuse the other with ADHD just because he can. But, based on your comments here, I doubt you have ADHD, or you would have spotted that I am one of them right away and would've been more understanding. Thanks for your comments though, I learned something very valuable from them, a real gem on subtle abuse of people with disabilities.

      Listening back, it seems like he only said "some of those people would do better on a farm." I don't think he was implying every single person who suffers at a cubicle job should be working on a farm instead. I believe he's just saying that a large variety of people are better suited to different types of jobs and everyone should not be funneled into cubicle jobs.
