Hi guys! I didn't initially plan on making this about healthy food (because how healthy can you eat at a convenience store?) but I realized while editing the video I kept talking about whether something is healthy or not. I often try to pick out non-processed food for my kids and things that are on the healthier side, but we also eat junk food too. I think there are a handful of good healthy options in here. It's all about balance. ;)
Hi Marie Bless Valentina she is so cute, I think she did very well, will be doing her own TH-cam video's when she grows up. The little bottles of milk we have them call them the little bottle of healthy bacteria in uk. I wonder how they get the fish in the cheese sticks?. The kitkat looked nice like you not keen on white chocolate will have to find some when I manage to get to Tokyo. Enjoyed this is there more you can share? 😀😍💖💖👍👍👍👍
That was interesting! One thing I'm really curious about is the health drinks and supplements in Korea. I see on Korean TV shows that celebrities (and characters in dramas) use a lot of supplements (like ginseng drinks) or weightloss drinks and teas. In the US, most people understand that those types of products are pretty much a sham, and they are either useless or actually dangerous, some just loaded with caffeine. But I wonder if these products that are made in Korea are really healthy and if they really work. Have Korean supplement and drink manufacturers created genuine healthy products that actually improve your immune system, give you energy without caffeine, and help you lose weight? When I visit Korea, I'd like to try some, but I'm a little nervous....
Hi Elle! Ahh you bring up such a good point. I find them kind of interesting and different which is why I included them, but perhaps they are a sham especially being in Korea. My husband always drinks the vitamin drinks and also another one for indigestion and when he's not feeling well but personally I don't drink them a lot, although I think they are an interesting concept. I feel like in general a lot of Korean products are gimmicky and scammy because they don't have FTC type regulations on false advertising here and I'm also not sure about their equivalent of the FDA. I don't think they are harmful, other than being loaded with sugar but I don't really know.
I was so excited to see the title but would have liked more info on actual ingredients, amount of sugar etc. For example, were there any yogurt drinks that don’t have high fructose corn syrup?
Very cool things. I shouldn't' be allowed in a convenience store - I'd buy way too many treats and snacks. :P Valentina was really cute with all her taste testing and reviews. Love how she didn't like the mango apple one since it wasn't chocolate, lol. Keep having fun, Marie. God bless yours and you! :)
Hi Melissa!! Lol yes it can be dangerous because of all the good snacks and food! Lol I love that mango and she definitely eats it when there's no chocolate or other options around :)
Thank you!! Aww I am going to be super sad when those squishy cheeks thin out as she gets older! :) Glad you can relive Korea through my videos!! Sounds like you enjoyed your time here!
@@MariesKawaiiWorld aww haha thats how my mom felt too! but i kno she will still be cute as she gets older :) yes it was soo fun, thanks to ur videos esp the ikseondong and myeongdong ones we were able to do a lot of cafe hopping. thank goodness youtube blessed us with a channel like yours!!! soo helpful!!
I'm on a budget trip here in Korea and I always buy the onigiri and kimbap from 7-11 or other convenience stores to eat them for breakfast or lunch. They're yummy and filling. I love the bulgogi ones.
Your daughter is too precious!!! And I miss that refrigerated banana milk!! 😩 (The carton ones available in the US don’t taste the same!) Korea has so many great food items, any suggestions in what to bring family as food gifts/regular gifts from the states?
Hi!! I think my favorite gift is the dragon's beard candy as a gift - the kind that is stretched into 16,000 strands. They sell it at Insadong and it's kinda touristy and gimmicky but I like it :)
This is so interesting. I plan to go to Korea and Japan next year and sometimes you need something healthy. "I don't like this, it is not chocolate", haha, smart girl:)
