@rinkmeifucan im not sure but apparently when they looked into it, it was just cracked and the glass scratched his ear when he was talking to it, because when they opened it up none of the parts were damaged just the glass on the outside.

Droid 2 vs. Droid Pro...Any suggestions? I am in the military so I like how the Droid Pro is global ready, but it seems by switching from the original Motorola Droid to the Droid Pro I may not like the smaller screen and cluttered qwerty keyboard. Any suggestions or feedback on both? Thanks.

I wish they made a updated og droid model with same form factor, just more ram, better chips and camera. That would be Kool. The og droid was the first android phone I've ever used. I'm surprised more modern phones don't have a physical built-in keyboard.
you have to pull out the qwerty keyboard 'manualy'? yup theres a magical phone that pulls out the keyboard automatically and obviously the droid 2 lacks that and some are let down
My Brother has this phone and if its the global Ver. then it will have a sim card slot but if your on Verizon then it will use CDMA not sure if it uses the sim card when roaming or if i can be used without CDMA :\
@cwallace197 different platforms, you either like iphone or android. For android you have many many choices and for apply you have 1. go to a verizon store and check them yourself
Can somebody tell me what is better when your phone get to hot. Let it cool down by it self or having a fan blowing directly by the phone k cause that's what I do.. to mine..
@SuperShaey I am not saying you are wrong, but idk where u heard that because I am pretty sure at least with the AF you can. I haven't been overseas yet myself....hopefully soon, but my buddy was stationed in Kunsan AS, Korea and he had his phone for a while, the only reason he cancelled it or suspended it was b/c it got too pricy i guess. It's at least nice to have the option though.

@ksquare94 there was this incident where a droid 2 blew up while a guy was talking on it. He is fine though. Funny thing, the droid still worked, even after it blew up.
I was gonna get this phone, but when i went in the store there was no joke 5 PEOPLE standing there with problems out of this phone... so i got the iphone and i will never regret it.
@Speedygi81 "One and a half days on a single charge?" So what you're telling us is you get about 36 hours on a full charge. Yeah that is quite impressive, if you're using your phone as a paper weight. You must be a very light phone user. In the real world you're only gonna get about 12-16 hours with average usage on the Nexus S at best.
@Minigosh Thats my experience and the Iphone has never dropped a call. Once again I've owned both and the Iphone has a superior display (side by side) , intuitive software, and it just works better.
@ActionArc It does ...and that is one of Android's USP, but while using the phone be aware of this, since this very awesome feature of Droid 2 will also consume vital power.... :)
I love my Droid 2. Had the first Droid then upgraded to this. Slide out keyboard is 110 times better then the first Droid. Have no complaints... it gets the job done.
@IpOkedJezus in raw power sense, yes(pinch to zoom is def smoother than the s series. in a speed sense, no nothing remotely comes close to a overclocked galaxy s device. add a 2.2 update to that and wow!
Jeez I remember being 8 years old back in 2010 not having a phone. My mom had one of these phones though and I loved it a lot and I remember always asking her if I could use it to play games on it 😂 She had it four about 3 years before she switched to a Samsung and then to an iPhone

Coz he has a point too. if people can go comparing which phone opens same app/website faster.... which is like what? 0.5-2s at most? if got time to watch a 2min video on which phone launches the app/page faster, make use of the 2 mins for something else! =.=
@ActionArc The answer is Yes. Go buy the Motorola Droid 2. iPhone4 is also a great phone, but the very features that make it great are quite restrictive like facetime is limited to iphone 4 users. It doesn't employ true multitasking and is limited to 7 features, antenna reception and call quality, rest all features look SIMPLE which is any other way of giving you limited options (...hence its simple)

It's October 2018 and I still have this phone and it works. I use it in emergencies like when I drop my phone in the lake

That isn't the stock Android keyboard, by the way. It's the Droid X's multitouch keyboard included in Motorola's Widget UI.
I still have my droid 2 and it still works! Wish modern phones still had that nice full-size keyboard

according to Motorola and ADA Developers the Droid 2 (or certainly the Milestone 2) does have 720p video recording?!

@oNexsus its behind the battery. take the cover off the back (it can be kinda sticky), take the battery out, and it should be there!

Motorola has really out done themselves. This is one of the best smartphones out there which is why I own one myself
