Great video. I'm a total beginner. I'm looking at your finished examples and it looks like, for the final row, your 'corner holes' seem to disappear, creating the look of solid border of double crochets all away around. Is this an optical illusion? I'd really like to get that look for my final row.
It is just an optical illusion I think. When you work stitches into a chain space it makes the hole larger. I do also tend to be a fairly tight “chainer” so if your chain spaces are bigger you could try doing a chain 1 instead of 2 on the final round.
