    This is the BEST Solid Granny Square EVER!!!! It makes more sense than doing a slip stitch to get to the corner and it actually looks like a square! Well done, excellent tutorial. Bravo! Skipping that hidden stitch from the left side of the corner is the best ever! I'm in my mid 70's and its true, you can teach a new way of doing this to someone who has learned old fashion ways of crocheting. Hello from Brookings, South Dakato.

    You are awesome!!! I consider myself to be an intermediate crocheter. I’ve made many granny square and sunburst square blankets. This seamless pattern has had me so stumped. Round 1 is a breeze but then the corner space from row to row just gets confusing. I tried several tutorials over and over and just couldn’t get it. YOUR tutorial took a completely different approach to the corners, ending corners and beginning new rounds. So clear and easy to understand and simple to quickly commit to memory for speed and accuracy. I’m subscribing to your channel and thank you so much for your beautiful work.

    Thank you so much for being so patient! This is my third crochet piece and it is so hard to find an TH-cam video like yours that really cares about repetition!
    Learning how to crochet has been an adventure and this learning process is repetition, repetition, repetition. And you get that!
    Thank you so much!

    I can't appreciate your video enough! The way you taught this just made this finally "click " for me! After MANY searches for multiple variations of the granny square, you're way was just made the most sense to me, even after a few years of knowing how to do simple crocheting, I'm finally opening up to more different types of stitches and creations always too worried about not understanding the crochet language, but now after your tutorial I feel confident about doing a little more advanced squares THANK YOU!!!

    This is so helpful! To make a hexagon instead, would you just add a couple more sets of 2 double crochets and corners in the magic circle to begin with? I can't find anyone else who does corners like you do and I love that style

    • @meemamakes
      @meemamakes  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I’m actually currently working on a tutorial for hexagons with these sort of ch, sc corners and it works well. I find that for hexagons you only need (dc, ch2, dc) corners instead of (2dc, ch2, 2dc).

    The tip using a third dc into the corner rather than the first hidden stitch makes it so much easier as well as neater. Can a standing dc work in place of 3 chain with your method?❤

    • @meemamakes

    thankyou for this wonderful video. All your tutorials are so clearly instructive. My own square has gone bit wavy, as I have obviously inadvertently put in an extra stitch along a side now and again. Are there a number of stitches that should constitute a side on each round? (excluding the five in the corner spaces? ) do they increase by a particular ratio (I'm awfully bad with numbers!) thankyou Meema.
