I learned more in this video than i have In the last 3 days of cad welding in the field, taught by guys on the job. Everyone should watch this video before they do any exothermic welding. And if you're going to be performing this work for a substation you certainly should be certified.

Do you bother heating up the lid before you start your first CAD weld?
Can copper bonded rods be welded together. And fo you mould for strip to strip welding
