I've only been playing iracing for a number of weeks initial planned GT3 or LMP racing but I'm hooked on oval at the moment it's exceptional fun.
I see you are having fun. This is the most important thing. And you are doing pretty good, you are consistent and I see you are adapting to iRacing physics and driving model with relative ease. Formula Vee and similar slower open wheel cars are the best way to learn the basics (keeping momentum, grip circle, tracks,...) and you can have good racing.
Your advice about taking breaks is so true. This year I got tired, stopped enjoying racing, and had almost 2 month break. When I got back in my SimRig after so long, I remembered why simracing is my hobby, and started to enjoy even more.
Formula Vee is one of the best things iRacing ever released. So much fun, one of my favorite one seater on the service!
I think the guy that you passed for p1 kinda got what he deserved. He definitely wasnt driving fair. He was weaving all over the track to keep ppl behind. Thats unsportsmanlike.

I have to say a BIG thank you, I took out a 2 year subscription on iRacing and was advised to start on Mazda Cup, I personally found it awful, never finished a race due to awful & nasty drivers, so ditched it for the next 10 months. Since I have seen you on the Formula VEE series I though I would give it another try!. I am now loving iRacing and have not just finished many races but actually won 7 races. in 7 days I have gone up to D Class with 1370 I rating. Keep up the great work and I love the videos
I personally find the formula vee cars very hard to drive in comparison to a lot of others. I’m glad you’re having such fun on this game!
stay on throttle as much as possible. Otherwise rear wants to overtake the front tires.
@@deliberation6022 for me the difficulty doesn’t come with the throttle management. The cars are a lot like the f122 cars in that you have to abandon all preconceived notion of how to use the gears.
@@alexhedges5055 Ah, stick the 3rd and 4th gear. 2nd gear will spin you unless you slow the car enough.
Fun race. Contact was racing incident, you guys were side by side. His real mistake was how he decided to come back onto the track as if he owned it, not considering where others were...and well you can see it cost him his race. Great job. Shame about not getting P1, but solid podium and lessons learned!

For that incident, I feel like it was on the dude rejoining the track, only because if I were in that situation I would have just got back onto the track but stayed on the left hand side, as I feel that is safer than trying to get back into the racing line. Then just rejoin the racing line on the next corner or after.

i saw you start playing iracing so i got it i have been glued to it and especially the formula vee cars. Its was fun on week 1 at lime rock park so if that ever comes around again do formula vee at lime rock park
Hey, great racing! The V's look fun to race.. I was hoping to be beginning my iRacing journey this weekend, as all the parts for my PC build were due to be delivered on Friday afternoon... But my Motherboard got delayed until January 11th xD So I got a little wait still but that's fine. Anyway, hope you have a great Christmas! =)

I would also recommend trying out the skip barber series, it a step up from the formula vee series and a lot of fun!

Thanks for noting this. I have been playing with the mazda a lot and have been bored. I kind of forgot about the formula vee which is weird since my favorite car in assetto corsa is a formula renault mod that drives with so much oversteer almost like an old f1 car.

I think the guy who crashed was being wayyyy to erratic with his movement on the track and I agree that you did everything you could and more to avoid an incident with him

I used to love this track back when I raced Formula Vee. Back in 2021, I even encountered one Fernando Alonso in a race!
I'd absolutely love to drive a formula vee in real life. I don't have iracing but I've done a few hours in automobilista 2. So much fun!
The Mazdas are actually very fun and WAY better in the non Rookie open setup races. Try the "Advanced MX-5" series or the "Production Sim Lab" series. The rookie mazdas are very understeery making them way slower and safer around the track. The open setup Mazdas take much more skill to drive fast.
Are the formula vee cars better to control than the race 1600 or are they quiet similar?
Because I know the Ray 1600 are inspired by the formula Ford and I know that they are difficult to control

If you want a big grid of Vees, Sundays at 1745 GMT Weekend Warriors runs a Vee league. 30 min race, mostly overlap with official tracks, not always. Big grid, high quality drivers. Next race is on 1/8 due to holidays. Reply if interested. Man I love the Vee.

In formula vee positioning is everything, you always want to be in p1 and be defensive in pretty much everything hard breaking zone. Great race!

A bit of advice. You often say that the most important thing is to have fun... but you often forget that yourself. The only races you seen to enjoy are the one you win. You have to learn to enjoy ALL races where you have done your best, no matter getting 1st or 10th. This is something I have learned from SuperGT... he is always positiv no matter where he ends because he know that there is always somebody that is better than you. Do your best, have fun and dont care about P1 or P10. And when you are positiv you drive better and you get better. ENJOY the journey and not only the finish line.
It is important to have fun, but it's okay to be unsatisfied if you're not getting the result you want.
If you want to reach the highest level you will naturally be competitive and want more, but doesn't meant you're not enjoying it despite the results 😄 If you're fine with any result (that's fine) I believe you won't push yourself to your potential in most cases.
P.s. I'm enjoying every race I do on here as its a new experience and I have much to learn still 😁

You should install trading paint so you can use custom livery
You need to get Trading Paints and get your own custom paint job on each car

Tbh if u didnt slip up on that turn ur buddy wouldnt of crashed. Try not to worry bout behind u as much as keeping ur pace up. Let ur teammate defend ur one job is to pull clean entries and fast exits thats all. Just a thought great racin mate
Formula Vee is my favorite car by far the racing has been fantastic, sure it can have its rough spots but show me any series that doesn't! If ya see the Boo Bear Car on course holla

Started iracing 11 days ago and I'm not buying F1 anymore. I just can't play it anymore now that I have experienced iracing. I'm gonna save the 70 euro's for f1 2024 and use it to buy cars and tracks in iracing for sure.

@@MXNLYKE8 It isn’t that hard as it looks like. Just do some research and you’ll find out what you need. Luckily the prices settled down a bit again this year, so it shouldn’t be that expensive again like it was earlier. Probably around €1000,- you got yourself a nice entry build PC, from that on you can invest in better parts later on. I have my pc now almost 3 years, I wished I do it earlier.

The official Formula 1 game is dying, Codemasters are so stale! I don't even want to play/buy it anymore, it's the same thing every year with minor changes! They just aren't learning we want more, so the series can push on, but they do nothing
