Growing up with a very not ok childhood, Kaplan is a breath of fresh air and the role model I need to get where I want to be, I'm 21, almost 22 and have been flipping cheap cars, mopeds, plenty of 80s Japanese bikes. It's been up and down for me but I know one day I'll get where I want to and need to be, working on bikes getting them running taking something and putting a part of yourself into it is what I want to do, the art of the deal and the excitement of the find is a endless chase lol
Yes ken life is full of distractions and curveballs. I grew up in d.c. and was in and out of detention centers. I found a trade i love in upholstery. Started a shop 23years ago and never looked back. Raised my kids and loving life. I look back and wonder how i was such a f...up. its how we get up and dust ourselves off. Real recognizes real ken. My hats off to you. Your the american dream brother. Keep up the hard work. Its paying off brother. ✌️
You have lived quite a life. It's great that you share your story, so that people might gain some insight from your knowledge and experience. I have a feeling some people might see a muscled up dude riding motorcycles and not really understand the amount of depth you have as a person. You are a testament to what can be accomplished through continuous improvement, hard work, and perseverance. I'm 49 now, and I've been reasonably successful in my life, but I still look for any opportunity to learn from others whenever possible. I echo your sentiments on faith, sobriety, and working out. All are extremely important.

I have been through verry similar circumstances in my life , with being self employed and running my own construction buisness since 1985, God first, family, friends , hard work and career . Ken, I only learned about you a week ago. You blow me away! My hat's off to you! Only change I would make would be a landing strip & heated hangar out at the compound. My motorcycle has wings and a propeller! Perhaps we will meet in 2 weeks when James brings those bikes back from Indianapolis.He'll have a moped for me in the truck. That's the problem I can't get a loan not enough money in the bank can't get enough money 58 years old don't have a whole lot of friends you know everybody like I said you got a horseshoe where the sun doesn't shine but you are doing a good job you just really depressed me when you show me everything that you have all your ups and downs anybody that has ups and downs it's hard to get out of it when you keep saying you ran out of money I run out of money around the money no way to recover I can't read no way to recover like you did thousands and millions of dollars I don't know how you did it dude
