  • I know it can be frustrating aligning multiple items to engrave perfectly and I hope I have been able to share some useful information in this video. There are a number of ways to achieve batch production/ processing on a laser machine - however, use what works for you!!

    Thanks for the "Fill shapes individually" tip. That made my part batching go a lot faster

    Very good idea, there is another way to make a chessboard on the bottom.

    Why didn't you cut the circles into your sheet material? I think that this would speed up the positioning of your coasters.

      Great question! Cutting out voids would work beautifully if my coasters were all exactly the same size, however due to the variable shapes and sizes, this would only create more issues… additionally it would have added another hour onto the setup time cutting out rather than marking surface and I couldn’t re-use the scrap mdf for other projects. It comes down to user preference, however both techniques definitely work!
