Chicago's food scene is soo good. My family always visits around christmastime from Wisconsin mostly to have food.
I was there for a couple of days this summer and loved the architecture cruise on the river around the city. So much fun! We plan on going back next year. Thanks for taking us with you-so many places to add to my places to eat list. Yes for the organization and planning videos!
I love the river tour! There is also a photographer-specific architecture tour that moves at a little bit of a slower pace than the other walking tours so you have time to take pictures, which is really nice.
Please do a plan my week video! That’ll be so fun.

Ahhh,I love Chicago, I find it so much cleaner, quieter and more spacious than NYC, it has so much to offer too. Loved watching you eat your way around it, looked like an amazing trip! Xx
I'm so glad you liked Chicago and hit up Andersonville (my hood). It's been my home for the past 20 years. Definitely come back with Marc and do it in the summer. I highly recommend getting bikes and riding along the lake path.

I’ve lived in Chicago for just shy of 2 years, my first time at the Chicago marathon I was blown away by the way people showed up and celebrated, I remember getting teared up as well. I love this city!!

Ok, so I was going to skip my reformer class this evening cause it’s miserable outside. I then started watching your vlog and when you mentioned that the pilates studio was ‘4 minutes away and you had no excuse’, I suddenly felt extremely guilty, paused the video and went to the class. So I guess... thank you? 😂
Did my first trip to Chicago, this past summer. Absolutely loved the city and planning to go back again next year. You and Mark should check it out during the warmer months, so much to see and enjoy. Great parks, lovely waterfront, and the river walk is fab!

I am so happy you were able to see more than the touristy places downtown. Lincoln Square and Andersonville are great neighborhoods. I need to go to Merz Apothecary soon, definitely one of my favorite spots! And of course you went to some great restaurants too. So happy you enjoyed Chicago. Happy Holidays.
I recently bought Telescopic (non-waterproof) for the first time in years and I'm so glad I did. Thanks for taking us around Chicago! I went last year but it was a very office-based work trip so I didn't see a great deal of the city. Saving this for ideas for when I go back sometime.

Glad you enjoyed your stay here! My husband and I have gone to Second City several times, always hilarious! And yes, so much food!!! It does get really cold around here, and at times the snow falls are massive.
I’m going to Chicago for work in July. I can’t wait! I live in Western Australia, so it’s a bloody long way to go. I work with Sub-Zero and their head office is in Madison Wisconsin, so we take over designers and architects to do the architecture tour in Chicago first. I’ll have to watch this again before I go and write down all the restaurants. BTW I’m also planning a trip to Spain for my special birthday this year, and because of you Lisbon vlog, I’m going to add it to my trip. 🤗

Hey! You were in my neighborhood! Bravo on going to some great places; looks like you did your research. Chicagoans are weird about Chicago foods - we love them but rarely ever eat them. Luckily, we have an amazing food scene that can stand alone and is finally shifting the conversations away from deep dish pizza and hot dogs. I’m glad you enjoyed our beautiful city. I stayed at the Hoxton in Paris and it was amazing. I was in Chicago earlier this year and after leaving Girl & the Goat I saw this amazing looking hotel. I looked it up and it was the Hoxton! I had no idea one was coming to Chicago. It looks beautiful!

Martha Mae's (the stationary shop) is my go-to for presents. Bonus: usually the owner brings her sleepy King Charles spaniel to the shop. So glad they took you north to Andersonvile and Lincoln Square -- two of the best hidden gem neighborhoods!

A big YES to the flawless facial hair remover! Bought one today, used it and wasn't sure it worked until I cleaned it and found a wee fluff-ball under the epilator head! Omg, I'm peachfuzz-free and no bumpies. 💯
That hair removal tool is the best! So easy and quick!!

Completely agree re Sephora. In between having the brands in the UK and weighing up the cost with dodgy exchange rate...Sephora has kind of lost its sparkle. I was there in September and only bought stuff that was really good deals x
