  • I show an easy way to mount a dust separator to a 5 gal bucket. This video shows how to mount the Quick Click dust separator to a 5 gal bucket but the same principal would apply to similar style dust separators. In my opinion, the Quick Click dust separator kit that includes the dust separator, the Quick Click hose with adaptors to fit a wide variety of tools and a hose that connects to most shop vacs, is the best values on the market for a small workshop.
The Cen-Tec folks gave me a 20% off coupon to share. That coupon code is RAYHERE. The coupon is valid for the first 100 uses. Be advised that there is a second video with my review of the Quick Click separator and how it compares to the Dustopper and Dust Deputy. That video also offers the 20% discount. Combined use of the discount code from both videos will be counted as part of the 100 coupon uses.

Great solution!! I was pretty surprised when you took the lid off the shop vac.

This is a very cost effective solution. The full system at $299 less 20% is quite reasonable but every body has 5 gal buckets in stock so buying the separator with hoses and adapters will get you operational at a fraction of the cost. I just need to determine if I use an orange, blue or white bucket! Thanks!

Cool. Been looking at that type of setup. Planning to grind (resurface) my garage floor in a couple of months.

Thanks for the comment. I’m glad the video was helpful. If you need to buy, take advantage of the coupon as there are only 100 available.

Hey, Ray, I'm planning on using a pool chlorine bucket with a twist on lid. Seems to be a little sturdier. What do you think? My order has not arrived yet. Thanks for the videos.

Great idea. If you find that the bucket collapses, try the trick of sliding a second bucket on. Let us know how this works out for you. Others may be able to use your idea.

WoW! I have never seen an oval Ridgid Shop Vac. This must be something new and not available to the general public.... @6:31

Well, I am quite an influencer so I do get special stuff! Just kidding. I had to go back and look at the video a couple of times to figure out what you were talking about. Sometimes when I use a wide lens, a bit of distortion will sneak in. You are very observant! Thanks for watching and commenting.
