He is the ultimate goat in CMF position, how did xavi amd iniesta come to convo when this guy was literally defensive, creative, box to box midfielder ever?? World cup, balon dor?? Anything u could ask for
OLDFAG HERE BUT, WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE! 80's-90's and early 2k's was for me the absolutely GOLDEN AGE of Football. I remember how we enjoyed of Football....the increidible collection of XL shirts (not Slim like now) I had of the good old teams, Maradona's Careca's and Zola's Napoli, Internazionale de Milano with Matthaus, Milano with the best team ever with Maldini, Baressi, Gullit, Rikjard, Van Basten (AND MORE) Sampdoria with Vialli, Vierchowood, Mancini, Pagliucca, Lombardo, Manchester United with Neville, Irwin, Roy Kean, Scholes, Vince, Huges, Schmeichel, CANTONA. Southampton with Sir Mathew Letissier, Madrid Galacticos with Casillas, Zidane, Hierro, Beckham, Raul , Figo Ronaldo, Quinta del Buitre with Michel, Hugo Sánchez, Pardeza, Emilio Butragueño, Miguel, Sanchís, Martín Vázquez and then my Team Dream Team FC Barcelona with Zubizarreta, Koeman, Guardiola, Laudrup, Stoickkov....
Most complete midfielder ever, even he can play center back...box to box, fight like a tank
Nice video my Portuguese fellow! Although it made me some way like confused hearing Mateus instead of Matthaus 😅 grande abraço 💪😃
It seems it's the right pronunciation?? Idk that's what I found when I Googled it, always pronounce it Mátáus myself
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT you’re right! For us in Portugal we are used to say Mataus but the correct way to pronounce in German is Mateus! My bad 🙋♂️
A proper legend of the game
Watched him so many times play in the 90s in Munich for Bayern just an amazing player totally powerhorse for sure!
The Argentines always say that Germany stole this final and they assure that it was not a penalty hahahaha they do not know how to lose... Great video 🇩🇪⚽🏆🏆🏆🏆
Animals they were in 1990 and in 66 as Sir Alf once said
That Jägermeister in the Eintracht Frankfurt Logo made my day 😂😂😂
Once again a great video , this time about this legend . Thanks a lot . When u can do one with George Weah if u don't mind 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

incredible story, please do Paolo Rossi next
I've been meaning to for so long, what a legend
Seeing him crying in 99 after Man Utd won the champions league is one of my happiest moments ever
He was chosen for Ballon d'Or Dream Team …well deserved
He is my hero on and off the field.
My favorite footballer ever
Guido Buchwald was the German Player who guarded Maradona in the 1990 World Cup Final, not Matthaeus. Matthaeus played the key pass that was leading to the penalty.
Matthäus !!!! Not Matthaeus
In his last game for Bayern he missed the deciding penalty in a shoot out against my very dear Werder Bremen in the final of the Cup. That was nice!
German here: We consider the 1990 World Championship a "all german" title since east germany (GDR) was only a different state on paper.
Lothar Matthaus, One of the biggest legend of the game who left alot of players & kids trying to be the next him.
He is like a more aggresive version of modric. Amazing player
matthaus>>>>modic
Modric is so much more technic and better Vista. Mattheus was agressive and powerful... but nothing special. In 1990... germany have amazing players
