    Thanks for the review. From what I can see, this is literally the ONLY review on this AEG. So let me first start with saying that I actually went into our local shop with the intention of buying myself a DMR for outdoor use, but when my sons's eye's lit up, I caved in and bought two of these AK-74s and a shorter AK 105 for about $200 ea. I figured that since everyone is always covered in multi-cam for a US loadout, my sons and I want to do OPFOR and try for a good Russian impression. And though I've always been a traditionalist and prefer the wooden stocks, they seemed heart set on the more modern issue. Right now I think that I should have just saved the money and instead of buying three from this company, I should have bought two CYMAs or an LTC. I totally wish I could have scored a one hundred dollar AEG like Collin did. I probably wouldn't feel like such a sucker. Now I was told that the DBoys were pretty good. I was also told that they are easier to work on than the CYMA's. And though the fella quickly added a heavier spring on my AK 105 (pretty cool that he did that), the others were listed as 400fps, which is the field max at all of the fields near us. So we spent an afternoon trying to wear in the springs, only to chrono one at just under 400fps and the other at 380fps. Other issues include the pistol grip on one of them was very loose and couldn't be tightened, so I had to take it back and have the guy at the shop tightened it. Apparently, something in the pistol grip wasn't tightened all the way, so the grip couldn't be tightened all the way either. As far as my short AK 105, the folding stock would absolutely NOT stay close. Yes, he was able to fix that. But it still doesn't lock up as my sons' do. And as Collin mentioned, the magazines are simply abysmal! I have never seen such a horrible lock up in my life. Now it feeds just fine. But it feels like it will fall out any second. I bought an aftermarket mag for $12 that locks up great. The only problem is that it fails to feed every ten or twelve shots. Not good. Now I have to worry about which mag is reliable. If I would have bought a known brand that has mags readily available, this wouldn't be a problem. So now, if I want additional mags I might need to file or sand down edges. But that might prevent them from being used with other Aks if we buy a different brand. Again, not good. I see, Archie down below mention Arcturus, so I'll give them a shot. But lesson learned. Does it feel decent when the stock is locked? Yes. But that wobbly mag, drives me nuts. I should have checked it before I bought it. Now if you can score this for $100 as Collin did, then it might be worth a chance. Buyer beware.

    Had exactly the same experiences with this gun as you had, though I had the Skeleton stock version and that latches XD, the gearbox is pretty great, give it a shim, mosfet and new wires, it has really nice trigger response with a 7,4v or a 11.1, can agree on atrocious mag compatibility though I have found Arcturus AK mags (d day brand) fit and work beautifully, I threw a G&G green in it and now it throws bbs as far as any other gun on the field, all in all a nice gun if you know how to play about with internals IMO

    If you would have touch a standard AK, real sword, you should have known that even the real gun is wobbly at the top cover. It was never meant to put an optic on it, that's they never bothered about this. Newest Russian AK's are build different, and top cover is fixed and have a Picatinny rail on it

    Nice vid!
    I prefer my AK74M from Cyma, stock is very robust, no play anywhere, and the stock is tight when folded shut !
    I had few years ago, the same Double Bell AK, and out of the box : wobbly, wobbly and wobbly...
    But i like a lot the QD gearbox, very cool, it's a shame that Cyma AK's doesn't have it!

    Sad that you never showed how the pulling back the bolt works. Wanted to know if it is accurate or not.

      My experience with them has been very hit or miss. Sometimes (As in some Double Bell AK), the bolt will pull back perfectly. But majority of Double Bell AKs bolts are very shit and get caught up when pulling them back to letting them go back forward.

      @@swiss8988 Yeah decided NOT to buy one. Also, AKs or rifled in general are too heavy. I just want one replica to play around with. So I ordered a VFC HK P8.

    Just buy a cyma stock or just the metal plate on the stock and youll fix the folding problem.

      @Normalnyczlowiek 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can easily modify them by shimming down the mag release and then they will fit anything but if you don't want to modify then I recommend looking for a mags that have a slim locking paddle
