In all my years of playing the claw machine there's always two types, one with butter grip and one that requires perfect timing, here's some tips i learned.
1) always grap the plushies that are close to the hole, never pick the ones that are buried or in the corner.
2) always try at least 3 times before you move on to the next claw machine otherwise you'll end up out of points or money (i did it once it was a mistake lmao).
3) dont be upset if you don't win the plushy, you can always order them online, rather than getting stuck on trying to win a plushy.
4) always be patient and grab the plushy when the claw reaches the middle section of the plushy for a better gripe.
5) not really a tip but if there's people around you that are using the claw machine you could ask them about their strategy and you could learn from it.
