Yeah, this story took a very dark turn. I was honestly crying a bit. I think it will help people raise awareness about their mental well-being and hopefully get some help with the struggles they're facing.
To all who are suffering depression, anxiety, etc, your mental illness is like one giant Night Thorn, but you can conquer it and will. You will win your battle. You've got the makings of greatness in your heart. You're more than what you are now. You're worth it. People do care about you, even if you don't see or hear it. If people really disregard your mental health, screw them. Cut those people off from your life. They betrayed you. They're not worth your time. YOU. WILL. WIN.

The fact that people got mad because of a fictional storyline that went dark, like come on there are lot's of dark storylines throughout the disney universe and people gotta complain bout this one?
People were not getting mad! This story was very triggering for me because mental health is a subject very close to my heart. There should have been a warning. If you’ve never had to struggle with your mental health, or known anyone that has, then you’re very fortunate.
As someone who has struggled with their mental health their whole life I loved this quest. The fact that they got kinda deep just enhanced this game so much! ❤

I thought it was good too. It’s a good message for kids on how to deal with their emotions and keeping them bottled up inside. I’m surprised people are angry about this. It really is classic Disney style for storyline to have teachable moments.
Mini saying “Don’t forget that I love you!” while around the valley makes me sad now because we really did forget that she loved us. Plus her being lost in the beginning in the game… UGH
I totally understand. This quest gave me the feels also. As a older adult/mom (who has been through some things) I understand it as much as a teen/kid would. I didn't think it was dark. Dark is part of light. If you haven't experienced dark then you can't fully appreciate light. I thought it was a good lesson for everyone. Just because you think the moment you are in is bad, things can get better! My very fav so far also.
I agree! This is the best story line. So real and touching. I was crying at various times and also proud of the way the characters were helping the Forgotten. The game won’t be like this every time but seriously this was special!

Wow... this is crazy, it turned really dark, even a bit relatable too. Repressed feeling, losing all hope for life and in yourself and all wasn't something I was expecting. This is my favourite quest too now. Can't wait for part 2
This actually hit home hard, being in a place like that is not nice, you want to tell someone how you feel but you dont want to bother them with your problems, always be nice to each other it doesnt cost anything
The ending is so good and shows a new villain that will come! What a good story!!! Oh my god I loved how real they made the feelings and emotions. The feeling of not being able to say how you really feel and the characters saying how much they love and care just was so much and what happens in real life to people who are depressed or going through something. What an amazing job they did to this and I can’t wait how the next villain ( I’m not going to spoil who it is) will play into the forgotten plot or being a whole new story!
Yes people in real life are going thru this same problem about the story. And I don’t judge. I like that is being show on this game and hopefully it can help someone. 😢
I agree with you this made me cry. I have worked with children and teens with depression and other mental health issues, irl, so I feel this will make people think some. Teachable moments so old Disney.
not gonna lie, I cried when I saw fairy godmother, Cinderella is my favorite movie of all time, and every time I see the forgotten.. it reminds me, of my childhood.. I had a rough childhood and Disney was my escape from it. the ending of a dark moment in time
Because a story about a valley that is slowly being destroy by "the forgetting" isn't dark in there eyes?

This is the first game EVER that has brought me to tears! 😢 That being said there is a positive message within the conversations. Loved it!

The story was amazing and relatable, and huge plot twist with jafar I expected maleficent, it makes sense the hourglass is where jafar trapped jasmine Im guessing the continuation comes when the new biome comes?
I was just staring at the forgotten just wanting to hug them. They looked like they were in so much pain and grief. I was just staring at the screen saying “No, no, no.😰The poor thing. The poor poor thing.”😓😓
I just finished the main story and I watched until the end credits which included hundreds of people including Patton Oswald and Lin-Manuel Miranda. What a beautiful heartfelt story. I cried. I’ve never had a video game make me cry. Beautiful. I’ve played this game every day since it launched and spent all the $. Worth every $ I spent.

You are right. This didnt turn dark. It turned real. I've had depression and anxiety since I was a teen and now I'm 35. I felt all of this. Every single line. I cried. It's like that character is me. Except some of the actions. Some people with mental health lash outward. Like destroying things. But me, I lash inward. Everything is always on me, so I'll punish myself with self hate talk all the time instead of taking it out on other things or people. I've read some of the other comments. I believe some depression and other mental health can be healed. But those that are born from genetics and trauma and other childhood things will always linger. It will never go away. It has its ups and downs. I have what is called low functioning depression. Even when I'm on an up it still feels terrible. And I'm on treatment. People who are mad at this story, either just do not understand mental health or have mental health problems but they are the type of people who avoid feeling it at all. They are in denial. I will agree though that it is very hard going through stories like this that are so trigger and reminding of what I always feel. When video games normally are my escape from it. But I wont say they shouldn't do it. Everyone needs to be more aware of what bad mental health can do to someone.
I just did this quest and it gives a warning before you continue, first part of it, I did cry.
Reminds me of BTVS, when Buffy sings "Going Through The Motions". I think most of us can relate at different points in our lives.
This part made me super emo, but I liked how hopeful it was in the end.
Finishing the quest line you will found how to use the rainbow potion. I find it out today, but I can't spoil.

@@Josh-Man Is not the final reward, is a thing that you find in the dark castle and with you have to use the rainbow potion. 🤷🏼♀️
@@AndreaLunaXD I didn’t find or use a rainbow potion in the dark castle. Not sure where that was, but I completed the dark castle quest, as far as it would let me go.
Something about her when she runs reminds me of ET. I can't put my finger on why exactly.
I'll tell you I'm pretty sure they reworked this quest because they had the deepest music playing during this quest. I was sobbing and I had no idea why.
I haven't seen anyone complains bout the story getting dark, but more so wishing there was a better warning in game, which is fair. The game overall hints to this being a mental health crazy from adolescence to adulthood, and I can see where this could be emotionally draining especially if you yourself are struggling through something and this game was like a sort of escapism. Still a lovely quest and I can't wait to get to it, and I hope everyone is taking care of themselves
Yes I love it I bought everything they deserve this Worth cash cause while they just dropped updated this game we deserve to show they mad love of how hard work they put in to this game. can't wait for part 2
It’s not that dark I honestly find it to be reality it’s teaching people how to open up about their feelings and reaching out I wish I had more games like this growing up if I’m honest might have asked for help sooner rather than thinking I was alone for years, this game really has helped me cope with a lot too
I think you can get the Forgotten's outfit well minus the glowing eyes. I have those wings, Don't recall where though if the store or pouch but pretty positive they are the raven wings, you can get for your back. And other items too I have something called an Onyx crown that looks similar if not exactly the same things as in these memories. A coat called thorn-laden jacket though not sure that is what they are wearing here. Thorny pants, and a pair of shoes called nightmarish boots. Again no idea if that is what they have in these lost memories. But together the above items certainly give off the same vibes as The Forgotten.
Edit: Did some digging. Seems it's level-based clothing. At level 31 you get onyx crow, thorn-laden jacket, thorny pants, nightmarish boots, and thorny wings.
Sadly the Raven Wings far as I can tell were part of the villain-themed star path they had last year. I think it was the second path they put out.
The raven wings are from last Halloween's star path.
@@GracemarieJohnson2763 They surprisingly came in handy when you are required to wear wings. Without trying to spoil much. I sort of found it interesting I did not necessarily have to wear the cardboard ones. Wearing the actual raven wings and crown met the requirement. Just found it interesting since some players won't have the raven wings.
i liked the quest line, it was relatable and too real, it made me like the game even more. Great video as always Mr. Star
Am I the only one who wasn’t surprised how the Forgotten feels and stuff or was it because the aftermath of Covid has affect some of us in this way 🤔
I dont think the game got dark, its the perfect amount of gameplay and mystery uncovering the storyline.
When I did fairy godmother's 1st quest I went inside the house and I screamed "Pumpkins are circle not square so why is the house Square inside!!!!!!"

Anyway even tho I was pretty angry with the fact that switch players got f'ed for item limit etc I si love the storyline

Like most things, there isn't always light and total happiness, so i wasn't shocked about the dark turn. It had to happen I think in order to continue. I also found it strange that there were no ways to do things with the other characters but then I thought that maybe we go through just what the forgotten chose to do. I think that the forgotten was so depressed, that he/she didn't want to do anything with anyone and that is why we couldn't cook or make anything with Mickey and Goofy.

Yeah, just my opinion but Disney went too dark for me personally. I'm finding another game now. Thanks for all your videos. I learned a lot from all your efforts.

Not if your bottle quest is glitched, the one in forgotten lands never spawned so I'm stuck, really sucks 👎

Alot of people on reddit are really unhappy with this storyline, but I think gameloft did unbelievably well with this storyline, it's deep and upsetting... and brings awareness to struggles people have in their daily life! Disney movies always have deep moments, I think its amazing that they chose todo the storyline like this, hits you right in the heart🥲💖
