I think having Kirby up tilt hit COMPLETELY around him was one of the most fun decisions Sakurai ever made. Up tilts hitting from the back already do well for cross ups, so taking that to the extreme really makes it feel like you get that love tap with the front hit.
this is by far one of my favourite sets ever, ive watched it in seo smash first but damn, so much energy from the comentators, and jeja was NASTY. i love it
yeah, that was ridiculous. though to be fair, jejajeja did also get pretty lucky with his trips. Even still, the awareness to go for that is also impressive
The fact jejajeja did the 3rd game so effortlessly against a possible S or A tier character (havent played smash in a while) with Kirby is actually so insane

The final game reminds me of the EVO 2014 Super Smash Bros. Melee match between Axe and Silent wolf where Axe playing Pikachu beat Silent Wolf's Fox in under one minute. Kirby is considered a mid tier in Ultimate, like Pikachu is in Melee.
The 2 down tilts before the up tilt keep Pikachu in laying-down state *not* tripped state, and the final down tilt was a lucky trip. If the Pika teched the Kirby side tilt, he would've avoided this, but the Pika wasn't ready for that (I don't blame him)
This is a perfect example why I’m transitioning from pika to Kirby. H4 in the first two games was dominating when it came to number of hits, at least it felt like it was something like H4 with 100 hits and JeJe with like 20 hits yet stocks and percent wise it seemed even. Kirby just does damage and kills with little to no effort while pika can do 5 x more hits and equal damage output and also has a difficulty getting kill moves off. Plus Kirby’s combos are so fluid it feels like free-styling.
Small warning, many of the weaknesses Pika suffers from (mostly getting spaced out by characters with bigger hitboxes) Kirby has even more trouble dealing with. I would recommend having a secondary to deal with the bad matchups (Pyra/Mythra, Roy, Steve, and Rob are especially bad)
8:14 "I don't know if you can hear, but the entire venue did a cheer for that one." Yeah, no chance in hell did anyone hear anything besides you screaming into the mic, dude...
Gets zoned very easily because of low range and low movement speed. Swords are very difficult in particular. If Kirby gets in, he can box as good as anyone. Jeja is super good with this character, and he wins neutral so much that he makes Kirby look good. Jesuischoq is also very good to watch.
