    There is confusion. I guess, you said that the cast iron pot retained 116 grams of water vs. 123 in the tagine,. But it is written - 160 ml, which would be more than in the tagine. It causes some contradiction.

    I think they are both Iron. why not use a real autenthic tajine?

      Very interesting. It comes down to the seal I guess. Since they were both covered, the tagine pot seems to hold a better seal

      Turns out it's mostly to do with the shape. With a cone-shaped top, water condenses into
      steam and is retained in the dish.
