I think this one is better-it has improved CA control, the same sharpness at f/2, and it doesn’t have the horrible focus breathing that makes the XC 35mm f/2 look like a zoom lens.
@@AndreiDimaReviews if they can maintain the same image quality of the 27mm pro, but make it as light and small as this 35mm, that'd be perfect even if they make it a f1.8
Appreciate your channel and reviews! I already have an XF 35mm f2. Would you recommend this or a used XF 35 mm f1.4 or I just stick with the one I have already?
@AndreiDimaReviews thanks for the quick response. I bought fuji x-s20 body recently. But i dont have lens yet. I'll get this lens and 1 more wide angle lens for my upcoming trip to Japan. What do you recommend for a budget wide angle lens? BTW I subscribed to your channel.
Glad I could help! Check the discount link for this lens in the description. The best lenses for travel would be the Fujifilm XF 16mm f2.8 or the Viltrox 13mm f1.4. Not many budget option when it comes to autofocus wide angle lenses.
i think despite a slight higher price of this over the TTartisan and build, the Viltrox 35 1.7 will be the one i want because of the sharpness overall, now I'm really tempted to buy this and the 56 1.7 together😂
Viltrox are so good now, great review again my friend
They are! Thank you!
Thanks Andrei!
Now we need a vs comparison of this lens against the TTArtisan 35mm f1.8 II on the demanding X-T5.
Glad you liked it! I will make one after the holidays.
Love that shot at 2:37. Very good deep dive here man!!
Thank you!
Finally a new Fujifilm video 😊
Finally? From my last five videos three are about Fujifilm.
Would love to try this lens , nice review as always :)
Thank you!
Curious how it compares to the XC 35mm f2 and Viltrox 27mm f1.2
I also want to know about this

@@AndreiDimaReviews Thank you very much! Considering getting one for myself soon!
Come on viltrox, we need a 27mm that doesn't weigh like a brick
Yes, a 27mm AIR lens would be nice!

would love to see a comparison of this and the ttartisan 35mm f1.8 ii.
I will make one but after the holidays.
@AndreiDimaReviews will wait for it! happy holidays!

I would keep the one you have.
@@AndreiDimaReviews Thank you!
@@ma5hes anytime!
Which is better, this lens or the Meike 33 1.4? It does not cost much more and it has an aperture ring.
both lenses are very good, hard to tell.
What does the AIR stand for? There is no mentioning of AIR when i look at that lens on Amazon.
Air stands for lightweight and compact; it’s the name Viltrox chose for this series of lenses.

This and the 56mm would make a nice combo! Check the discount link in the description.
Nice lens!
Yes, it is!
It's interesting BUT Ttart 27 f2.8 is wider with vintage pop and another ttart 35 f1.8 so whichever has more 3d pop wins
Viltrox needs to make a 27mm AIR lens.
@@AndreiDimaReviews yep f2
Fujifilm has released firmware fix for XT5 camera :) this will make the af much better in video
One day too late. Yes, the AF is better with the update.
