    So, what can happen if you still have the battery in place and you are replacing the DDR memory or the PCIE SSD?. Also some questions on the DDR4 memory - can you mix the memory - DDR4-3200 SODIMM memory module and add a DDR-2666 mhz SO DIMM? I've seen configuration having like 24GB, so that's like 8GB on 1 module, and 1 16GB module. Any issues with this ?

    PLEASE please please tell me what is the keyword for another storage slot cable beside the NVME SSD on the top right corner. I have HP Laptop exactly like this and I want to upgrade but I don't know what's the keyword for the flex cable/storage/bracket slot to buy. Also is it only slot for SATA or NVME? (I saw someone installed a small square bracket to the slot beside the nvme ssd, I have no slot nor cable nor bracket for it) thank you very much

    Hi, Is it OK to use an 8gb + 4gb together? Does this not cause issues with dual channel? I’m trying to help my friend with his HP and I’m a bit rusty.

    • @BrueComputing
      @BrueComputing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It should work fine. You get dual channel interleaving for the first 8GB but not the final 4GB, so matched pairs are preferable.

    What is your opinion on HP laptops in general compared to the Dell ?
    Would you rather get a dell inspiron 3511 or an HP pavillion with similar specs for the same price ?

    • @BrueComputing
      @BrueComputing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do you have a specific HP Pavillion model in mind? I've seen quite a few comments about the durability of the hinges of the 3501 and 3511, although I never had any issues with mine.

      Yes I am considering the 15-eh1022nx
      Laptop ..
      I heard the same issue about the dell hinges .. that is why I am considering the HP ..
      I want something that is under 800 - 900 dollars that wil last for at least 5 years of moderate usage everyday ..
      So what do you think ?

    • @BrueComputing
      @BrueComputing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      15-eh1022nx looks a very nice specification indeed - I really like the Ryzen 5000-series chips and it has some nice features like a USB-C port with charging and display output so I'd probably go that route.

    • @dustinking5755
      @dustinking5755 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Going by my hyper tough 77-piece electronic repair kit from Walmart, I say a CR-V PH00 is all that's really needed. The heads of the screws are smaller than a standard Phillips head... But they are all just + shaped from what I have seen from other videos.

    • @Sugarhil1Adot
      @Sugarhil1Adot 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's soldered like most new laptops now. So sadly you can't upgrade it into a new CPU with out buying a new motherboard which would cost a lot of money.

    • @BrueComputing
      @BrueComputing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You won't find any modern laptops with a socketed CPU, with the possible exception of very niche high-end gaming/workstation devices using desktop parts, but I don't know of any of them.
