SMART INDIRECT LIGHTING SETUP | DIY HIDDEN LIGHT STRIP

Indirect smart lighting! That’s what this video is about. I show and explain how we created our smart indirect lighting setup with Philips Hue light strips and crown moldings.
There are so many ways to go about this and it all depends on what you prefer and your aesthetic. We decided that we wanted the light strips mounted high on the walls, just below the ceiling and hidden behind moldings and I’ve really come to love the result and at night the light is just perfect. It’s so cozy and soft and I can’t recommend it enough!
For this project we decided to use Philips Hue light strips, since we’re already using their bulbs and spots around the house, and we also have a Philips TV with ambilight, but you can use whatever light strip you want for a project like this.

did you glue the back of the LED strip on the mould or you glued thee back of the LED strip to the wall? Thats something I wanted to see and if you could answer it would help me )

So annoying those LED spots! We installed one to go on the edge on top of our home office and we had to move the edge further from the wall to stop seeing the spots. So the further you put the led from your wall the less u’ll see them. I wish this is something they would mention on their packaging or something

It’s a new construction home that was finished in March of this year, so we got to decide where all the outlets should be 😄
