there's a death hint that tells you that you know you've found the true ending when the credits play. but the number doesn't work unless you get every death. so you did actually miss the true ending

For anyone wondering, the true ending is… Actually a truly HAPPY ending! I know, I couldn’t believe it either. I had to look it up after watching this, and since I hate stupid depressing endings, I was tickled pink. I recommend you look it up too - unless you really want to watch a little girl die in a dozen ways so that you can have the satisfaction of reaching the ending yourself. But there are plenty of ways to feel satisfied without wasting an hour of your time and a shard of your precious innocence. Love you. Mwah.
Thank you for mentioning this. Honestly, I was pretty worked up about poor Lily by the end of this video, and I think it's nice (maybe?) that the designer included a solid happy ending. Just...not much fun getting there...frickin' Papa. Just couldn't handle his daughter going "rogue" in his eyes.

You're correct that inputting the phone number is how you get the "good" ending, but it only works if you've "learned" all the digits of the phone number legitimately by playing the game over and over and getting all the various other endings. It's a tiny bit tedious, but it's worth it. Great game.

You two should play Lenna's inception, it's an adventure game that seems to be inspired by Link's awakening, has different world seeds, challenges like limited hearts or weapons, you can have it be 8 or 16 bit and theirs even two player mode. Also you'll like the story, it's pretty clever for the True ending you need to leave the dungeons after getting the boss items

The way Arin was intentionally vague about the mugs in the box rubbed me the wrong way. I kept thinking "when are you gonna get back to playing this game?" Like I get that it was a bit to promote patreon but it really felt like the episode was being interrupted for no reason with no content.
I kind of feel that way when they promote anything. I like the Game Grumps, but they really need a script writer to not make their promotions of what they're doing so awkward.

Thank you for mentioning this. Honestly, I was pretty worked up about poor Lily by the end of this video, and I think it's nice (maybe?) that the designer included a solid happy ending. Just...not much fun getting there...frickin' Papa. Just couldn't handle his daughter going "rogue" in his eyes.

You're correct that inputting the phone number is how you get the "good" ending, but it only works if you've "learned" all the digits of the phone number legitimately by playing the game over and over and getting all the various other endings. It's a tiny bit tedious, but it's worth it. Great game.

Believe me, after watching years of Game Grumps, you get used to it.
You two should play Lenna's inception, it's an adventure game that seems to be inspired by Link's awakening, has different world seeds, challenges like limited hearts or weapons, you can have it be 8 or 16 bit and theirs even two player mode.
Also you'll like the story, it's pretty clever
for the True ending you need to leave the dungeons after getting the boss items

The way Arin was intentionally vague about the mugs in the box rubbed me the wrong way. I kept thinking "when are you gonna get back to playing this game?"
Like I get that it was a bit to promote patreon but it really felt like the episode was being interrupted for no reason with no content.
I kind of feel that way when they promote anything. I like the Game Grumps, but they really need a script writer to not make their promotions of what they're doing so awkward.
@@sunnywhite196 well I don't really feel that about every promo, like when the episode opens with an absurd skit that's actually an ad, I don't mind those because there's a strong visual and comedic component, but this one was just like "haha you can't see what they're talking about, let's talk about how you can't see it for 2 minutes heehee"
Plus the fact that it's just interrupting the middle of the episode is annoying

And if you had the episode on for background noise while doing something else, you would have even less of a clue because you wouldn't see the Patreon shill logo popping out of the jacket ever so slowly. I don't remember if they even verbally mentioned Patreon at all during that whole time, or if it was just broken glass noise over them talking about how they got broken glass that once resembled cups over at Goodwill.

I’d probably make a bouquet of flowers specifically for a funeral to place on a grave of chrysanthemums, roses, and maybe even some other flowers that have some sort of symbolism of passing on.
