Phil Blake as five eight and Rick chisolom as halfback would have to be the quickest and the greatest pair of halves ever to play rugby league, just a pity the planets didn't align for them to form a unit. SUPERSTARS
@@Holden308 I'll phrase my question another way. Did Phil Blake have less impact in attack because Fulton used him differently? i think Phil Blake was unbelievable in attack. Eventually he left Manly as he was getting shifted around all the time.
Phil Blake, Steve Morris, Steve Mortimer, Johnny Gibbs added so much excitement in the 80s
An absolute genius with the ball in hand, and so fast. Speed for weeks. Cheers for uploading.
Oustanding flair magician player amazing in his time with Warrington from a Widnes fan. Oustanding player worth admission money alone to watch.

My memory of Phil Blake was 1982 with Manly and the chip over the top. Spectacular. Lost sight of him after that
Loved him at Warrington. A terrific player .
Still remember 1989 final series, he made these massively long passes for trys to Ross Harrington? Was stoked when signed for my Warriors.

A real pros pro.
Phil Blake could have been an all time Manly great, but for one thing.
Bozo didn't think much of his defensive game.
That's true.
Did Bozo Fulton ruin him?
@@alanchong7513 No.
@@alanchong7513 ... no, but Bozo was a coach big on defence and that was never the strongest part of Blakey's game.
