Thanks for the video. It was the exact same issue that was draining my 04 suburban. Before I even finished the video I touched the seat motor and it was hot. I unplugged them and no dead battery since. I am replacing the motors soon. Thanks again.

    Thank you.
I’ve had this issue for years and have left my truck for months on end with different mechanics with no one of these mechanic shops doing or finding the trouble.
    Thank you again.

Thank you!...thank you!...THANK YOU!!!...bro I watched thos video because my truck had a 6volt draw coming from the same fuse you pulled and my battery stayed dead even though I replaced it!...I'm in Winn Dixie parking lot and checked the seat motor and the rear motor is scalding hot and I just cranked the truck up!...I unplugged it and hopefully I'll see if this helped!...thanks anyways man!...I'm subscribed and you definitely got a thumbs up here!...

great Job, you are a great Tech... My friend Tech insists you must jumper your meter for 10+ minutes to give full current to wake up all computers. And this makes sense to me.

Basically your looking for a draw of amperage and in this case is with all the components off to find out what component is staying on with key off maybe in another scenario with a short that might be the case

My Dad's 04 Tahoe and my 04 Tahoe have the issue with draining battery. If the seat motors are flawed, can we just unplug and leave them that way? My seat will be in the set position and doesn't need to be adjusted so I don't need them.
I'm curious- with the shorted motors in the seat- Was the seat still working properly?
    THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO

I think I may have that problem or something same truck battery be dead every morning and after work. such a headache. what else could be the problem if its not that particular problem.

Jaterris Nales - I have a similar problem. Start by doing the parasitic draw test. I found it was a fuse that controlled the gauge cluster and ignition. Hope this helps.

What would cause my amps to jump from 5mA all the way to 7amps and back and forth.

That circuit has a resettable circuit breaker. Possibly resetting and tripping

So what did that cost to replace the motors?

I went and tried mine, not the seat motor. I think it’s the RR HVAC fuse. The rear blower. It has not worked since I bought the 04 Taho. I pulled the fuse and no draw on the batt. I will know in the morning.

Electrical issues can be expensive my 04 suburban the alternator had a bad diode that causes the alternator to let the power out of the battery when parked find a good mechanic that won't charge you for his guessing

Helio I got a 2001 Tahoe I did the draw test and mine read a 1.18 it was my factory amp so I took out the fuse and the draw dropped down to a .68 is this good or is there still another draw I need to look for

    • @heliotrevino1858
      @heliotrevino1858  6 ปีที่แล้ว

mike baker if the amps fall when you pull a fuse it indicates that that circuit is drawing some current it depends what the fuse is for

HP11208 you have to pull fuses one by one until u find what system is causing the draw
