Here Dog Daddy is taking his pack of German Shepherds to the Santa Monica Pier for a stroll , this is a great way to mentally and physically exercise the pack.
Dog Daddy is giving some great tips on how to have the perfect behaved dogs.

I must say, as a german it feels almost like a compliment that you're using our german commands to have perfectly indistinguishable commands for your dogs.
Many dog trainers in Germany use english commands too. Just lovely. :)

That's kinda awesome. We use German commands and Germans use English commands. So they are 100% heard. Alot of people say dogs don't understand they Mainly go off human emotions. BS!! MY DOG KNOWS SIGN LANGUAGE

Also from what I've seen one couldn't really tell since "Plaats" and "Platz" sound similar if not the same. "Fuß" though is something that hints towards german.

lol, I came here to say those are German Shepards. They look more like German Shepards than Golden Retrievers. Nothing to do with color, but the size of their heads and mouth.
i've never seen one, but had a "white" one when i was a kid. I Thought these guys were groenendaels. which i've seen in real life.
I love how it's not "the dog must follow and take orders no matter what!" But "they do what I ask, I must make sure their needs are met otherwise they will go off if I don't care of their needs"

Too bad all “owners” don’t think the same way.
Obedience trained GSD will put its handler on top of the priority list..they will concentrate even if their needs are not met, but at that point youre not really a good dog owner if you dont allow them to drink and pee - especially on such a hot day carrying water for them is helpful. Even a working dog needs a minute to turn off obviously..

haha yes. My daughter in Australia has a blonde/golden German Spitz dog. They are quite hairy so she gets her her hair cut quite short. When I visit I take the dog walking at the markets, a total chick magnet, all the girls want their photo taken with her. When they ask what she is I tell them she's a dingo pup. People love that, even though it's not true.
I especially like how clearly content they are. They trust their 'dog daddy' to look out for their needs and, therefore follow his cues. ❤

Dog Daddy when you give a full smile, I light up! I love how you let people interact with your pups while training. It truly show how much work to have put into them when you can relax and have conversations while they’re off lead. Also loved how people respect space and don’t just run up to hug all old the cuteness.

I LOVE how you said that if the dogs listen so well, you need to pay attention to their needs. My dogs are almost always off leash, we always had rottweilers when I was a kid growing up, and I'm always paying more attention to the dogs than the people around. I give sessions and most people are just not willing to put in the time, dedication and effort it takes to develop such a bond with their dogs. Most people think I'm ridiculous for stopping a conversation for a moment to tend to my dog if necessary. You worded it perfectly! Inspiration for my coming sessions. Love to see this content!

Awesome vibes with them. Too many people see pet ownership/training as a way to exert their dominance on something smaller. Great to see and hear how much you obviously respect these animals. After all, love and respect is what's important.
What are you talking about… have you even seen his training methods?? Excerting dominance is exactly what his training is, and what he does it abuse. It’s delusional to think he respects or cares about the dogs he trains.

I love how you use German commands! I took one year in College…..back when dinosaurs still roamed the campus.
I hate the German commands. I'm a dog trainer and boarder and I'll get dogs that come in for boarding and the owners will make a big deal about how they taught their commands in German. Huge red flag for me, usually means they're all flashy tricks and then will try to hump my leg or piss all over as soon as i take my eye of them (not saying that about the dogs in the video, they do seem legit).
Pretty sure it's a hold over from police dogs-- many German shepherds having been brought from Germany initially for police and military work and bringing their trainers with them to teach the police. Now it seems like a way to try and impress people-- make them think your dog is police level trained (or maybe make the owners feel special). I don't know.
Anyway. I almost never use the German and they almost always respond to English just fine right away. People put too much into the actual words when mostly dogs are reading your tone and context. Whenever people start pushing too hard on me for not using their german commands or saying "stay" when they use "wait" or something, I'll ask them their favorite flavor of ice cream and I'll use that as the command and almost always get the same result.
@@Ithinkthatsillegal and if you listen to dog daddy he seems to have a German accent so that makes sense. It was just fun to hear and understand a few German words. At least it was a relatively easy 10 hours of A grades.

German command sound more forceful. I use them with all my Dogs. I would not want a trainer to use silly commands on my Dogs. I don't think you have enough respect as a trainer.

My dog responds to slavic and english language, but if you gave him some werid stuff he never heard before he would just tilt his head at you, and look at you like youre a freak. He is a malinois that saved dozens of people during an attempted terrorist attack a few years ago. He smelled a bomb before it went off.

Interesting at 2:30 he talks about making sure their needs are met and that’s part of how he maintains being the alpha. Being the alpha means he has to keep their trust for them to listen to him. I think actually it can be very similar with people. If you want to be the “alpha” or leader, you keep your position as well as the trust and allegiance of those you want to lead (in a business or in any relationship) by making sure their needs are met. 💫
Any TRUE leader understands that to Lead, is to Serve. I like what you have to say.
We had a mutt, but he had incredible markings. He looked like a distinct breed. When people asked, we said he was a Munkacs, which is pronounced moon-kotch, it was the village in Hungary my Grandfather came from.
When we told people, this was before the internet, they never wanted to seem like they didn't know, they would tell us, they knew of that breed. (That never existed)

I love how well you explain the process. I have Irish Wolfhounds that I walk off leash. Knowing when they are ready is key. It is something that I am asked about constantly. I explain but I will take your wording as it is much more concise than my own. I am a very small lady (98lbs). My dogs weigh 192 and the puppy (9) 167lbs. We get a lot of looks as we stroll. I love your videos.

I used to know a trainer that also used the German commands for shepherds back in the day. It brought me back hear and see it again. Beautiful to see dogs this beautiful trained so well.
Im german, and my trainer used the german word for sit "sitz" and the english "down" because the german command for down "platz" sounds too much as "sitz".

When I was child our first dog was a resued black German shepherd, Jerry. My parents always said he was the best protector and baby sitter, if we awake at night he would go and wake my mother straight away. He was beautiful. Your dogs are lovely. Good to highlight such a great dog. 👍

Well, I don't want to flaunt my expertise, but I instantly recognized these were Golden Retrievers. The black variety with their upright ears are particularly attractive! Seriously, your training abilities awe me . . . partially because I know how much patience that takes. Good thing Golden Retrievers are so intelligent!

We had a beatuiful pure black german shepherd as a kid. He was so stunning and the sweatest dog I have ever known.

"The new black golden retrievers that don't shed." I'm dying! GSD have a double coat and shed fur on your stuff even after they've left. LOL I have only had AKC qualified show GSD that were well groomed weekly and I am still finding fur from dogs I had 15 years ago.
He’s the famous dog trainer when I was in highschool he was posted in the news that he can make 5 german shepherd walk off leash with him in a very nice way. Now he made a youtube channel. Nice

This is fantastic and I'm so happy this showed up randomly in my recommendations!
My old dog was half black lab and half pitbull. The thing that I had taught her that everyone loved seeing was to count from one to ten. You could name any of those numbers and she would bark that many times for you.
One hiccup during that process was she already knew "high five" which after teaching her to count I would only say "high" otherwise she would count to five instead. Definitely learned a lot with her which has helped with other dogs I've helped train. Single syllable commands is one of my personal biggest tips during training and something I too had to learn.
I love how you have these dogs trained your a true master I can tell by how you love and act your highly skilled and they understand you and you understand them

Wait, was he joking? The whole black German Shepherd and black golden retriever got me confused because there are two totally separate breeds. If you look up each breed in google, it's very obvious that these are only black German Shepherds and not a retriever whatsoever. Regardless, dude is super talented and his dogs are impressive, whatever breed they are.

My aunt owns a black German shepherd named maisie and she’s super sweet and trained just like this! How ever it is beyond impressive that he can get 5 while dogs to listen this well!!!🐾🐾🐶

Beautiful dogs. Even more so that they are so well-behaved. And I loved that ‘daddy’ was atttentive to there needs. That is the sign of an excellent owner- to many times I see the dogs thirsty, fretting. The dogs know he cares for them so they return the care. Complete and utter trust. Yep! I sometimes like to pull Peoples’s legs when I’m out with my service dog. There’s obviously a lot of genuine interest, questions, & curiosity about her breed, her job, name, training background, & whatever you can possibly ask.
I honestly don’t mind answering peoples questions especially if they are respectful and kind. The only time I’m not answering questions is when I have a limited time to quickly run errands and can’t stop.
Darcy is a longer coated black Labrador. She’s like the longer coated black German shepherds. They confuse people a lot. Very few people know both breeds can come in longer coats and in black in the same dog.
Sooo, after I’ve had that question asked 100’s of times when I’m out getting my errands done…. I might sometimes mess with them & tell them her name is Frankie or she’s a rare black coated smaller breed of the Great Pyrenees…. I’d go mad otherwise feeling like an automated answering system. Gotta have a little fun sometimes.
I have convinced people that my donkey is a Burmese mountain dog.
