      To my knowledge they're against Zionism. I can't site the actual song or lyrics but they promote peace among all people, culture, religions. I'm also very aware of the horrible traits of Zionism and speak against it. This is probably the only Israeli band that caught my attention. Great guys.

      TheOmegaeyes could you define zionism for me? looking online, i find several definitions, none of which are really consistant. to me it just seems like zionism is just israeli nationalism/patriotism. am i wrong on that?

    • @TheOmegaeyes
      @TheOmegaeyes 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know if I can give you an exact definition. It's a radical
      extreme form of judaism. Basically a group of world leaders like
      Netanyahu who feel jews are the superior race. They want to abolish any
      religion/people not like theirs.

    Thank you for putting this interview out. Orphaned Land are absolutely unique and an essential band to the Middle East. So few people, on a global scale, know them, but they do more for the Middle East than any politicians. They've provided a unity in a region where true unity can be the only answer.

    Awesome. Totally agree with Wishu. Kobi and his band totally deserve the Nobel peace price because a lot of us can't even and wouldn't even do that. I'm only going to speak from myself and others might end up agreeing but I'm totally against any from of oppression mixed with manipulation and stupidity and religion has always been the ultimate in that. It's caused a lot of pain and death. So there's zero respect and more hostility here. So thumps up to Orphaned Land.

    The thing he said at 5:18 about us Turkish people doesn't sound right to me. To be honest, it bothered me a little. I have been in a lot of metal concerts and never seen anyone doing that. Metalheads in Turkey doesn't put the Islamic lifestyle in the center of their lives and do that kind of gesture especially during a metal concert.

      The Electrocist really dude? youre doing that here? did you not hear what Kobi said?

    • @pyromaniac4944
      @pyromaniac4944 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what you don't get is that Palestine is just a geographical term and that the state of Israel calls itself a jewish state, and that is one of the problems, but not only. Palestinians call themselves arab+muslim to distinguish themselves, but all "palestinian" ever meant is that you came from that region of the world. Now, if religion could be obliterated both people calling themselves arab/muslim and the others can live in peace in a country that doesn't identify itself with religion. Saying 'free palestine' doesn't mean anything; a lot of people there are free, but a lot of the others are prisoners of either strict judaism, islam, or both, and they need to be free, you're right, but I think you have to think about the issue a little deeper.

    • @pyromaniac4944
      @pyromaniac4944 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is part of the problem. To me the whole conflict is religious and it is masked as some kind of political struggle; islam teaches antisemitism while israelis are taught that this is their promised land.

    • @wishuhadmyname
      @wishuhadmyname 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Takfarinas Abdiouene the problem is both are right

    • @pyromaniac4944
      @pyromaniac4944 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      @wishuhadmyname no, the problem is both are wrong. If Israel quit being a religious country, and if the arabs stopped being antisemitic by following islam and its multiple branches then everything would be fine.
